   We have been to Citrine about ten times over the years, and it continues to be consistently excellent. There are always new specials in addition to the standard menu items. Good selections of wines and craft beers, reasonably priced. Attentive and knowledgable service.

   Overall a lovely meal in a lovely setting. The shrimp and grits were delicious. The daily risotto (short rib risotto) was mediocre and not worth $30). Service was attentive.

   I had the French toast at Brunch and it was good but kind of basic. My partner had the eggs benedict and crab which was amazing. Definitely will come back but won't be getting the French toast again.

    The food is wonderful and I would highly recommend this restaurant. However if you want to have a quiet meal and conversation eat indoors! The patio is next to the tracks and busy road.

    We were seated behind the bar next to the bussing station, which was several large, tall tables pushed together. Not a pleasant experience to be next where dishes are cleared and stored. Constant motion and visibility to dirty dishes, clear buckets where drinks were dumped out etc. Portions of our meal and our dessert were served cold. Our waitress was very friendly but had to be flagged down to take our dessert order and to get our check. Not the type of experience I remember having at past visits to Citrine.

    We enjoy Citrine every time we visit. The food is excellent, the personalities (host, servers, bartenders) are top notch. Last night's dinner was delicious, as usual. Our host (Stephan) was just delightful. We always enjoy seeing him. The owner (did not see him last night), Branko, is great! This restaurant is a gem in Oak Park's crown. Make sure you order the Moroccan inspired braised beef short rib. A true favorite!

    Lovely setting, excellent wait staff. We ordered two pastas: the lamb bolognese and the squid ink with shrimp. They were both delicious with unique flavors. We tried a new Rose' along with the romaine salad that had an authentic Caesar dressing. Our waiter was helpful and very pleasant.

    It was a reasonably slow Wednesday, but the serving staff was not sufficient to meet the needs of so many tables - inside, outside and a private function. The food was good, but I wish the menu was changed more often. The dishes stay basically the same regardless of the season.

    Good food. Nice service. We had an attentive and good server. He was very knowledgeable about the menu and made good suggestions. Provided a sample of a wine. His wine recommendation was spot on. A very nice experience.

    We loved our dinner at Citrine, especially the service! Our server went above and beyond to make sure we had an excellent experience, from helping with our wine selection by bringing small tastes for us to try to sending over a complimentary mocktail to our non-drinking guest.     This was our first time here. Food, service, and ambiance were fantastic. The cauliflower and grilled octopus appetizers were very tasty. Pork shank and short rib entrees were succulent and flavorful. Drinks were well made. Didn't have dessert, too full, and while nothing piqued my interest per se, I'm sure it's made with the same care and attention as everything else. We'll definitely come back here again and recommend it to friends/family.

    What a lovely evening. We arrived a little early for our reservation and were happy they could seat us. Our server, Amelia, was great! We also saw other people we've come to appreciate that also work there. The owner has a good crew. The food is fabulous. It could not have been better. YUM.
