We went there for the first time and it was great. The food and service were both amazing. We will be back soon.

Even during d I was impressed with one of my favorite rustic and chic establishments in Maine Dining. I have continued to be impressed with this dining experience for more than 30 years!!

Great menu selection between the pub menu and regular menu.

Pleasantly surprised by the precautions taken to make us feel comfortable. Our waitress, and her2nd, were courteous, accommodating, and knowledgeable. The meal was excellent.

I have to say my wife and I were very disappointed. We arrived on time and were greeted by a lovely hostess. The space was decorated well and all the appropriate COVID safety items were in place. This was our first time here and we were excited to try it out.

Our waiter Kelly and his helper were prompted and courteous. My dirty Martina was Nader perfectly and the cab my wife had was fantastic. Unfortunately this is where the good ends.

I ordered the muscles fra diavlo for an app. They came out ice cold and with no spice at all. We are not ones to complain or send things back. We chalked it up to a mistake.

On to the Salads. I had the seasonal salad with pickled beets orange slices and vinaigrette. This would have been enough but then cold quinoa was loaded on top. Not only did this have no flavor, the texture was off putting in my salad.

Main meal I had the mushroom Wellington and my wife had the scallops. Once again my Wellington had a constancy problem with ground up mushrooms inside and no seasoning at all. My wife’s scallops were over cooked and the potatoes were lumpy and flavorless.

We couldn’t bring ourselves to have desert with the bill already at $140.

Drinks and staff were great. The food was very disappointing.

Food was incredible and the service was outstanding. Will visit again soon! Highly recommend!!

Always a pleasure to go to Clay Hill Farm . The experience from entering the property, to the gracious greeting upon arriving and the entire dining experience, is delightful ! They truly make you feel like a part of their family! Could not have chosen a better place to be on Christmas Eve. Clay Hill is a Gem.

Wonderful, warm and local restaurant with friendly service. They were clearly doing the best they could to navigate the COVID situation and we were impressed with the atmosphere and privacy of the in-room dining experience. Looking forward to dining with them again.

Classic New England setting,very rustic with lots of charm.Service was impeccable and dinner was absolutely 5 star. A must visit destination.

We dined at the recomendation of the Gazebo Inn. We are sooo happy that we did!

Thanksgiving dinner was phenomenal and a great value for the amount of food given. Turkey was cooked to perfection, gravy was delicious, lobster bisque was phenomenal, and service was attentive yet socially distant.

Delicious food, amazing staff, socially distanced fireside dining, live piano music made for a perfect evening. Can’t wait to go back for the lobster bisque and short rib rangoon.

The food was absolutely horrible. Took one bite of the fish and sent it back...same with my boyfriend’s steak. I would NOT recommend this restaurant.

4 of us dined outside on a fairly mild night. The outdoor set up is perfect. Plenty of spacing and space heaters to help take the chill out. Very comfortable and delightful setting. Service was excellent by Lori and Katherine. Good cocktails. The food was very good. Really great experience from start to finish. Couldn't have been better or more relaxing!

Beautiful setting but way over priced for quality. My husband had surf and turf special and steak was very tough and fatty.

Would have loved to be here before darkness to enjoy the setting of this charming setting. Greeted by a live piano player which set the tone for a lovely evening. Tables were well spaced out and walking was well marked for Covid guidelines and there was ample outdoor seating with space heaters. Food was very tasty but lacking in presentation. A little attention to color and appearance would elevate the experience tremendously. Service was excellent

Delicious food and great service. We were able to sit outside on the deck by heated lamps. Would recommend this place to anyone looking for a great meal at a location away from the downtown area.

Food was good but not not deserving of a 5 star. Menu was a little limited probably secondary to Covid. Ambience was nice, an older building with charm.

Only thing I had a problem with was the additional $2 charge on the check. When I asked about it I was told it was to pay for gloves, cleaning supplies, hand sanitizer. COVID related expenses. Never heard of it before.

Very friendly staff, excellent service & outstanding food. The ambiance was very good even with their solid adherence to covid-19 social distancing and protocol. Oh and I can't forget all the homemade deserts..the pumpkin cheesecake was to die for!

The Service was outstanding and the food very good. With social distancing the rule of the day, the dining room was spacious but we could also have eaten out on the patio. We will return.

The restaurant is surrounded by beautiful grounds in a quiet area. From the moment we entered the staff was very nice. We were seated immediately. Our wait staff was very attentive and new all the specials with no hesitation. Due to COVID there was a limited but sizeable menu. The food was fantastic! Portions were great and dessert was truly homemade. This was our second time visiting and we have not been disappointed.

Unfortunately COVID has changed everything. The service was adequate and the food was okay - definitely not worth the money we paid. The ambiance was lack luster. We won’t go back until they are back to the old normal. Very disappointing!

I thought the food and service were excellent. Interior is very dated so we sat outside. It would have been much nicer if they piped the music outside which is very easy to do these days with wireless speakers. We would go again.

Very enjoyable experience! Superb service and good food. Unfortunately, the only vegan option was sold out for the evening. My other guests raved about their meal - generous portions, too.

Have not been to Clay Hill Farm for several years, as it had always been one of our favorite restaurants when staying in Maine.

We had dinner there October 10th, and have to say, all of what made Clay Hill one of our most favorite of restaurants still remains, (food, service, and atmosphere). The difference now is the social distancing in the dining room and outside dining.

You won't be disappointed.

We went here for our anniversary - the meals were ok and the wait staff was ok - we have been to better and worse places as far as the service and food goes. However because of covid they leave the door open to let fresh air in but do not have any heat turned on. It was about 45 outside. The result is we both sat the whole time with our heavy coats on just to keep warm, NOT ENJOYABLE ! It's ok to leave the door open to let fresh air in because of this covid thing but TURN ON THE HEAT ! WE FROZE ! or don't let guests sit in the room where the door is open. To top it off they charge $2.00 for PPE - REALLY ? I get a $125. bill for dinner and your going to charge me $2.00 for PPE - REALLY ? just rubs me the wrong way.

Service was good but slow, which they told us about. Food was mediocre, especially for the price. Steak frites was just steak, flatbread was microwaved, desserts were microwaved. Disappointing overall, especially since we had favorable experiences years ago. Unfortunately not in a hurry to go back.

Overall I was disappointed. The entrees were very average. In spite of a notice on the menu that due to Covid all meal are individually prepared so they may take longer.
My duck was small in portion and not very flavorful and the accompanying risotto was mushy. My wife's stuffed Haddock didn't taste fresh. She thought it may have been the sauce. On the positive side, the service was great, the lobster bisque was good and the desserts were excellent.
