Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurant - Arlington Heights
Wine tasting is a must! Linda is amazing!
I've been to several Coopers Hawk locations but this was our first time at the Arlington Heights location. I have to say I was not impressed. I had surf and turf (filet and crab cake). My filet medallions were over cooked and the crab cake was room temperature. To be fair I didn't say anything to our server, Ashley, who was very nice and even had our dessert comped when she found out we were out for our anniversary. The dessert was great and my husband loved his food. This particular instance for me just wasn't that great
Great service and the ladies helping with wine tasting were so considerate
Food was good but service was poor. It was a Holiday and the restaurant was completely booked so I guess some issues are expected. Two of us ordered the Thanksgiving dinner entree. The meals came only a couple minutes after are salads came. There was not room on the table for both. The turkey entrees were not hot. Those who ordered off the main menu enjoyed their food.
Having been to CH for both lunch and dinner and having been pleased with the food we reserved for Thanksgiving. So very disappointed. The pumpkin soup we thought to be delicious. The main meal was turkey (ok), gravy (was there any?) dressing (good), green beans/carrots (so under-cooked that it was difficult to cut even with a knife), potatoes (tasty but cold), pumpkin cheesecake (good). Will not return for dinner if the day is near or on a holiday. The restaurant can't seem to handle a continuous stream of customers.
The Thanksgiving Special was mediocre. We wouldn't order next time. The Filet was very good and the Pinot Noir was very good and a good value.
Great options for Thanksgiving dinner!
I took my Mom to Coopers Hawk for Thanksgiving dinner. She had the Thanksgiving turkey dinner and I had the salmon. My salmon and sides were excellent. The bread was very good too. The restaurant is clean and beautiful. The server was very nice. My mom doesn't usually complain about but, told me after we left that her turkey dinner was not hot and said she didn't like the vegetables because they were hard to bite into.
I tasted her dessert that came with her turkey dinner and I didn't care for it.
I also ordered a chicken piccata to go for my husband and he loved it.
Over all I'm not happy and very surprised that my mom's thanksgiving turkey dinner wasn't good and our check was $150.
My husband and I will return for sure for the salmon and chicken piccata but, I'm not ever going to risk taking someone there for a thanksgiving day turkey dinner again.
Good was excellent with plenty of left overs. Service was good but had to wait to be seated past our reservation time
I would recommend Cooper's Hawk to a friend, but definitely not for Thanksgiving. Traditional Thanksgiving dinner was mediocre: mashed potatoes were gummy; stuffing was just flavored bread cubes without any sausage or celery; vegetables of green beans and carrots had the green beans done but the carrots were not done; turkey seemed like commissary food- thinly sliced with white meat on the top and dark meat hidden below; gravy was light-colored, lumpy, and not flavorful. Dessert was very good. Overall, the dinner was very institutional. We would not order this again, wished I had ordered from the usual menu instead. Service was great. We were seated on time.
Delicious Thanksgiving dinner, great service and loved the cranberry sangria! I would recommend Thanksgiving at Coopers Hawk to anyone.
Food good. Waitress nice but she would put in fir drinks we didn’t order and never checked in with us if we needed anything. Disappointing
Wonderful Thanksgiving Day celebration. Loved being glad to still get the drunken shrimp appetizer before the delicious 3 course Thanksgiving dinner.
We had a wonderful experience at Coopers Hawk. Our server, Vince, definitely set the tone for a great, relaxing dinner with our family. Our food all very good, Vince explained the appetizers to us as he served. He never rushed us and our food was served spread over time so we could all enjoy it. I loved that we were in the barrel room. What a memorable Thanksgiving for us. 5 stars to Vince! See you next year!
Excellent food and service. This is our favorite and regular go-to place!
Another great evening and meal at Coopers Hawk. So consistent, and that is so important. Our server was absolutely amazing!
Service was stellar ,grouper was oily and Weak. Shrimp appetizer was awesome, calamari was greasy and small. Bread was good but rare. Filet was good. Dessert was good. Very loud!
Great food and atmosphere. Our server, Eric, was great!
Devin (our person who assisted us with our wine tasting) was OUTSTANDING. I have been going to Cooper’s hawk for years and thanks to him that was my best experience. Wish I could’ve had him as our server
Birthday night out with friends.
We had a great time!Great food and service. Wine outstanding! Can't wait to go there again.
Delicious food and wine
Food was very good, not great. I had the Chicken Mediera and my friend had their version of lemon chicken. Both were very good. Bread was one large pretzel role that we had to split and served with enough butter for two bites. Service from Lynn was excellent. Noise from the bar area as always was ridiculously loud...poor acoustics.
Delicious food. No matter what we get, it is always good. It's always too loud in there for conversation, though.
Girls night out we go cray cray
The food and service are exceptional, I believe that this is more of a $$$ than $$ restaurant, but it is a great value for the cost.
This particular venue (building) has never been a favorite of mine, the noise level is Impossible to carry on a conversation. Everyone around is speaking loudly to be able to have any rapport with their dining companions. I wish the building engineers could figure out a way to accommodate the unfriendly noise level. Otherwise everything else was wonderful!!!
Have been here many times and not had issues in the past. Not sure if they were short staffed or if it was just a bad waitress.
Cooper’s hawk is my favorite restaurant! I was greeted with a sample of wine. My table was ready on time, no wait. Our server was excellent. Food is the best and wine is always in season hit!
EXCELLENT - ALWAYS 🍷
Great time. The wine is amazing and the food was as well.
Absolutely sensational. Love everything about this place. Can't wait for the Morton Grove location to open I'll be there twice a week.
We were very disappointed in our service this past Friday. Not our server Alan-he was great! But the serving of the food. My husband and I both order a cup of Mushroom Soup and are entree. My husband ordered Fish and I ordered the Squash Ravioli. The soup was served and 60 seconds later (and that’s the truth) our entrees were served. We had only had one spoonful of soup. We didn’t want to rush through eating our soup or eat soup and entrees at same time. Our server apologized and took them back. We finished our soup and then the main course was served, but it was the same food served earlier just stuck under warmer lights or something. Suffice it to say the food was luke warm and very disappointing, I was looking forward to my squash ravioli w/lobster, shrimp and scallops. My husband said his fish was OK. We were celebrating our 39th anniversary and my husband’s 74th birthday. We are Cooper’s Hawk members and will be back but next time we’ll make sure we ask to give us time to eat our soup before serving the main course. Or order soup first and then entree after we finish soup. Do not want to have this happen again. Actually this was the first time this has happen. They were very busy so maybe this is why, but most unexpected of Cooper’s Hawk.
Our reservation was accomodated promptly. Our service was good, just a bit slow, the waitress seemed to have too many tables.
Our food was very good!
My husband enjoys darker, handcrafted beers, he's not a wine drinker. Very limited on those.
Great place! At times, volume can be bothersome, however that does not deter from service nor quality of food.
It’s a yes and a no - the food was awful on Friday 11/15! Scallops were raw, the halibut wasn’t halibut and seemed to be tilapia, steak had no flavor. I am a long time member of the wine of the month and I have never been so disappointed.
