Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurant - Ashburn
I cannot complain about anything with my experience at a Cooper’s Hawk on Saturday. My food was great and our service was top notch!
My only complaint would be my friend order her trio gilets medium and they definitely came out well done. Our waiter took care of everything for and within a few minutes she has a new plate with her filets cooked as requested.
CH has always been a very consistent meal with good wine.
We had a reservation but showed up a bit early, so we decided to sit at the bar and gave up our table. Food was good a usual and the staff was friendly and helpful. We could not ask for much more we will be back again soon.
Great food and wine, as always. Our server was fantastic. She went above and beyond to ensure we had a great dinner.
Very crowded, but was seated within 5 mins. The food was outstanding!! Meats were cooked just perfectly.
I took a client here for a business meeting. The service was so-so...I felt rushed the entire time. We kept being asked if we wanted to order and clearly we were having a meeting. My colleague has a severe nut allergy that we informed our server about. His food ended up coming out covered in pistachios and thankfully I saw the nuts and stopped him from eating his meal. It then took over 20 minutes for him to get his food since they had to make it again. I don’t understand how this could happen, especially since we informed our server that he was highly allergic. The food was good but overall it was a very fair experience. Thankfully, my colleague didn’t eat his food with nuts all over it. We really avoided a disaster. The overall meal and service could have been a lot better.
The service was poor. We did a tasting first and we had to wait about 10 minutes between each poor. There weren’t that many people doing tastings and 3 people behind the bar. Our server was not personable and seemed annoyed that we were t making a decision on food fast enough (he wanted to know our drinks, apps, main course in the first go). He also forgot to put our appetizer order in and forgot to bring the bottle of wine we ordered. I had to track him down 30 minutes into the meal to ask why we never got our wine or apps. He snapped at me that they were coming. Then arrived at our table 20 minutes later without the wine or appetizer and asked if we wanted dessert.
We are members here and have never had such a bad experience.

Had a delicious lunch for four. My dish was the shrimp and scallops risotto that was absolutely delicious. My husband had the meatballs and were scrumptious as usual. Our son had the chicken sandwich and my daughter in law had the Parmesan chicken. They were very happy with their food as well. Service was excellent. We did a wine tasting after the meal. Gary and Michael did an amazing job pouring and explaining our wine tastings.
Everything was actually very good. We had a small issue of one meal coming out somewhat cold but it was resolved. Considering how busy it was the service was very good.
The food was good, but the ambiance was awful. I take my daughter and daughters-in-law there for their birthdays every year after our spa experience. We will look for another place next year as the we were stuck right next to the bar at a table and felt like we were on display. It was very uncomfortable, as well as too brightly lit and too noisy. When we asked for a booth, they said there were not any available, but a few minutes later there were people being sat a booths. I spend way too much money there to have our experience not be a good one.
Our 6 person table was right next to the bathrooms and bar, which made having a conversation challenging, especially with my hard-of-hearing, elderly parents, but I appreciated the fact that we were able to make a reservation, instead of the usual "call ahead" process. My crabcake was underwhelming, but I blame myself, as I have very high standards regarding crabcakes, and should have asked if the chef uses lump crabmeat. The rest of the food was very good. My steak was cooked perfectly, and the brussels sprouts appetizer was delicious. Our wine was good, and our waiter was excellent.
Our dinner was great.

Fun place for date night. Everything was fantastic.
We had an excellent waiter. It was our first experience here and he took time to explain the menu and wine pairings. The food was delicious although some things were a bit pricey. We shared two desserts and they were outstanding! We highly Recommend and we will be back!
We had a reservation for 6:30. We weren’t
seated until 7:15! That’s right...45 minute wait with a reservation!!! Waited at least another 35 minutes for drinks. Appetizer came before drinks. Service was so slow. Food was good but not worth the wait. We used to eat there a lot but we have been disappointed on several occasions. Employees and hostess staff were not very friendly and just seems like it’s not being run as well as previously. Seriously understaffed. So many great restaurants to choose from in the area so I hope you’re working on the issues.
They were understaffed and we had to wait a very long time before we got seated even though we had reservations. In addition, we had to wait for a service person to come to our table to even give us water. Service was very slow. And food took a very long time.
