Dinner was disappointing and service, too. Steaks were fatty, Ceaser salad too pasty. Salmon portion was a cheap end cut. Mussels were raw and not eaten. Waiter didn’t even ask why. And, what really annoyed me, waiter talked me into a raspberry cocktail when I wanted a cosmo not Hawaiian Punch I didn’t drink it and he didn’t even notice or care. Eat at Marsh Tavern for a real meal worth the $. .

The restaurant was beautiful. We felt very safe, and the staff and restaurant itself felt very clean and comfortable. It was the first time we have eaten inside a restaurant since March.
Unfortunately we didn't bring our cell phones as we were celebrating a special occasion and wanted to be present, this meant we were not able to look at a cocktail list. I would have loved to be alerted and we would have brought at least one phone.
The apps were amazing. Fresh and delicious.
The venison was definitely over cooked, and my burger was charred. I do like it well done, but for that kind of class and price I really expected them to be able to pull off a well done burger without burning it.

In the end our very nice waitress had a problem with my card. We used another and checked when we got back to the room. My card had been charged twice, along with my partner's card. Totally hundreds of dollars now pending and on hold in my account, while there had been plenty to begin with. I am sure it was some kind of tech error but it certainly complicated things and 2 days later the money is still not yet back in my account.

Fabulous. Kids and grown ups alike loved it. Waiter was friendly and knowledgeable and the space is great. Definitely recommend.

Great ambience and food but lengthy time to receive food. Aooatently only one person working in kitchen according to server.

My husband and I are staying at the Taconic Hotel for New Years and dined at the Copper Grouse. The food was great - we loved the Brussels sprouts and butternut squash soup appetizers and the salmon and wagyu burger for our dinners. Everything was cooked perfectly and service was great too!

The bathroom inside the hotel room was freezing there was no heat in it we were told to leave the door open so the heat could go in. the restaurant was filthy! we saw food on the floor and fingerprints all over the counter where we were sitting at our table eating breakfast. The male host who seemed to be the manager at the restaurant desk seemed to be very stressed, and not friendly or welcoming. This is a dog friendly hotel if you are not aware (we were not!)

Was prefix which we understand, however the choices were very poor, not a single chicken dish, we have a guest with severe sea food allergies and not a single concession was made. ,,,they just said you can order the steak and lobster dish and we will just serve you the small piece of steak. Just a terrible main course menu. We are very frequent guests 1-2 twice per week and it will be some time when we do if ever come back

We had such an amazing meal. Every single item was perfectly done. We were pleasantly surprised considering we hadn't had much of a positive experience with our trip thus far. Next time we visit we will be staying at the Taconic and eating at Copper Grouse. Kudos to the servers, host and manager for being friendly, attentive and interested in our experience.

Deserves five stars in all respects based on Food, Ambiance, Staff. Menu is creative and has something for everyone. Great selection of beer to pair with dinner-Heady Topper, Lunch etc. Decor is warm but elegant. Always enjoy the Cooper Grouse, on the top of my list.

Outstanding menu, food, and cocktails. The service both for take out and dine-in was also top notch. Impossible to have anything less than a perfect meal here.

Our waiter who was doing double duty waiting on tables and taking orders did a great job. Very friendly and accommodating. The place was very festive for the holidays. The prices are a little high (resort hotel) but the quality was excellent! Our second time dining there and is next door to the Inn at Manchester where we like to stay. We’ll definitely be back.

I never expected that I could have such delicious food in a small village Vermont. The food is very special, specially the appetizers.

Underwhelming for such a pretty hotel. The food was nothing special. My husband had a $17 rueben that was skimpy on everything. I had the BLT and it was dry. I hate to say it but a diner would do them better :(

Service was exceptional. Cocktails were perfectly balanced and well presented. Great twists on classic cocktails. Food was good, seasoned well ans HOT! Service was real winner!

Lovely place, nice people. A smidge overpriced. Wish our burgers had been cooked mid rare as requested. But they were still juicy at near well done, so we didn't send them back. The two tables within earshot had already complained about overcooked expensive beef, so it felt like it would be piling on. We'll try it out again someday after covid.

The only minor minor issue was...that we ordered sourdough bread and it came out only after reminding our server...it would have been nice to get the bread before our meals came out.

The server was respectful, helpful, and assured. The restaurant was nice, the food excellent. When visiting Manchester we will absolutely return for a visit!

The seasonal selections were fresh and very well prepared. A food allergy was handled simply without any fanfare or consternation, a very welcome change. Recommendations from staff were spot on and cocktails were on par with other top-shelf provisions from all over the world (San Diego, Austin, Dallas, Boston, Washington, Seattle, Charlotte, Miami, Los Angles, Tulum, Bern, Istanbul, Braç, Venice). The bread pudding was rich and velvety and thankfully not too sweet.

Had a wonderful time at the Copper Grouse. Our waiter was very attentive and the food was fabulous.

Honestly super dissatisfied and disappointed. Looked and sounded great online. Beautiful clean restaurant, just did not deliver. Our server/bartender wasn't overly friendly or informative at all. The food for the price was completely underwhelming and not worth the value. A $29 frozen burger? A limp flavorless Caesar salad that had a hair in it. Just not great quality, nothing seemed cooked from scratch or farm to table like they advertise. I would not come back here- on-top of it I made a note on my reservation that it was my fiancés bday and it never even got brought up or acknowledged. Such a shame because its located in a beautiful high end lodge and they could really benefit if they weren't so mediocre.

DO NOT eat at the copper grouse. The food had NO taste and was overly expensive. We will not be back. There are only of other better restaurants in Manchester Vermont.

Something has definitely changed. Not the same Caesar salad, fries, bun for burger. We had the Wagyu burger. Burger itself was good but bun was soggy. Baked brie was good. Not sure about coming back for a while. Was disappointed.

Ate inside with good distancing, great service, good wine and food.

The wagu burger was easily the most amazing burger my wife and I have ever had!

Atmosphere was great, food was incredible and the company was amazing!!!!

We had read the reviews during Covid 19 and anticipated the wait. It was well worth it.
Regina our server was the Best considering the environment. and the Mac and Cheese was the Best ad a starter!

The clam chowder and butternut squash bisque were out of this world!

We just adore this restaurant (and the Inn)! One of the best burgers I’ve ever had. Great cocktails. The pumpkin bread pudding is to die for.

Our waitress was phenomenally friendly and the service was fast and professional.
