Crane's is an Island institution with meat being its star attraction. Four of us enjoyed a neighborly evening out. Service was friendly and most accommodating in substitution requests. Prime rib was a nice piece of meat, the accompanying horseradish sauce lending a needed "zip." There are options for those not eating meat for the evening. Shrimp and grits was full of fresh shrimp. Grits were nice creamy texture but could use added spice. The wine list is notable and prices most reasonable. Two of us were hunkering for their signature burger but, unfortunately, they were not serving an item that is on their bar menu at dinner but would be offered for carry-out, which was a head scratcher for me.

This is our favorite restaurant when we are in town. Our steaks were perfectly cooked and delicious. We love the scalloped potatoes and creamed spinach. Our server, Michele, was right there as soon as we needed anything. We enjoyed our visit and can't wait to return.

This is the place to go for beef on Hilton Head - there is none better. The prime rib is as good as the best I have ever had and I have had hundreds. They are being extremely careful with regard to Coronavirus prevention and provided an explanation of their precautions. The ambiance is nothing special but OK, and the service is excellent. I'm a 30 year resident of HH and have eaten in almost every restaurant here. It should be noted that this place is quite expensive (by HH standards). Martini, small prime rib, a glass of wine ran $168 for two people with tax but not tip.

Love this restaurant...lighting and seating and overall ambience make this a lovely dining experience. The food is some of the best on the island. Filet is amazing...shrimp and grits are my fave...and the French onion soup can’t be beat.

This is the best steakhouse in the area. The food is always a cut above and the service is excellent. The only negative was that, on our last trip for dinner (12/11), the noise level from other diners was extremely high. Very loud and a little annoying.

A wee expensive but we'll worth it
The martinis were perfect, the prime rib was too. Do get the creamed spinach you won't be disappointed.

The filet mignon was perfectly cooked and one of the best steaks we’ve ever had. Service was excellent. We loved our experience and will certainly return when we are in Hilton Head. Highly recommend.

This is probably our favorite restaurant in Hilton Head. We make this our final meal before heading home each year. The meals are consistently very good (prime rib, scalloped potatoes, creamed spinach; we’ve had other things on previous visits). We’ve had one staff person on several of our visits, Diane. She is pleasant and professional. We definitely recommend this restaurant.

Great food and service.

Our dinner was good but we were surprised by how expensive it was. Beef was $39 and up per person. Just too much for dinner with no ambience at all.

Way over done. Portions good. Service was good.

Filet Mignon was perfectly prepared as were the onion soup and crab cake. Waitress was attentive and professional. Social distancing was enforced!

Perfect dining experience. Delicious cocktails, tender flavorful beef, Crist crust soft middle yummy bread and melt in your mouth cheesecake. Great social distancing and a caring manage team who took care of our every need. High recommend.

I have eaten here before and loved it; however, this visit I was disappointed in the quality of the steak that I ordered. Was not up to par for the price paid, Tough times I guess and they are cutting costs with lesser grade of meat. I don't mind paying good money for an excellent meal but this steak got a grade of C at best!!!!!!!!

The Ribeye was incredible. Nice and quiet place to eat. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience and will go back next time in Hilton Head.

Cranes is one of our favorite restaurants. The couple we came with had never been to Cranes, and they loved it! The food is so yummy! Our waitress was great. Will be back again!

A fabulous place to go for a special night or just a great prime rib or seafood. A bit pricie, but, hey, you're worth it now and then.
Just a tip, if you know you're selecting the liver, bring a baggy with a couple pieces of bacon. That's my only disapointment: there was only 1/2 piece of bacon mixed with the fried onions. Everything else was marvelous!

Yummy food. We had cocktails, appetizers, entrees and dessert.
Great service. Ask to be seated at one of Diane’s tables. She is fantastic.
