the food is absolutely delicious every time!! the restaurant was very accommodating as i had only made the reservation for 12, but i had more guests show up that hadn’t RSVP’d.

I can’t say enough good things about Banks! I’m letting you know that I’ve eaten around the globe at many restaurants. I love Banks because at the core, the food quality, taste and service is one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. This is our new favorite spot and can’t wait to go back. They also offer catering - I’m in! Great job and absolutely delicious food and even the Chef/owner Banks came over and spoke with us - asking how was our food. You cannot go wrong here!

We were immediately welcomed with genuine warmth, and even received a compliment on my handbag, which was such a thoughtful personal touch. The cocktails were absolutely amazing, the steaks were cooked to perfection, and every bite of our meal was exceptional. But what truly made this experience stand out was the incredible hospitality. Our waiter and the manager didn’t just provide great service—they made us feel like friends. They checked on us throughout the evening, spent time talking with us, shared recommendations, and even offered to help us with restaurant suggestions in another state while we’re traveling. That level of kindness and genuine care is incredibly rare. To top it all off, they surprised us with a handwritten note at the end of our meal. It’s those little personal touches that turn a great dinner into a memorable experience. The atmosphere, the food, the drinks, and especially the people made this one of the best dining experiences we’ve had in a long time. If you’re looking for outstanding steaks paired with exceptional hospitality, this is the place. We can’t wait to come back the next time we’re in Delaware!

The Buffalo flat bread, Cesar salad and turkey sandwich were all delicious! Large portions, very fresh. Service was excellent, nice clean bathroom and right across street from the opera house.

I have eaten at Bardea many times before and really enjoy the creative, well curated selections that seem to vary widely. This visit there were six of us as my cousin was visiting from the West Coast with a friend of hers. We all decided to get the chef's tasting menu. What a fantastic experience. Each course was as delicious as the next. Every member of our party was thoroughly pleased with our dinner. Maria was a really great waitress. All of the waitstaff, the greeter, the maître d’ was also attentive and assisted with serving our courses. Much appreciation for a fantastic meal!!
