Opa! Mezze Grill is a family-owned Greek restaurant in Ashburn Village, named Best Mediterranean Restaurant in the Loudoun Times-Mirror’s Best of Loudoun in 2020, 2021 and each year from 2023 to 2026.Chef Konstantinos, born in Greece, had been cooking since 1971 when he and his wife, Katarina, opened the restaurant in 2012. Katarina worked as a server for some fifteen years for Ionel, a longtime family friend, and in 2020 Opa! passed on to him. Ionel—half Greek and Romanian—kept the authentic, made from scratch Greek classics, and then expanded the menu with more generous portions and new Balkan dishes.Start with mezze to share: hummus, spanakopita and saganaki (flaming cheese lit with ouzo at your table). Then moussaka, an Opa! Gyro from the vertical spit, or lamb chops and Mititei off the grill. Vegetarians eat well here, from falafel and fasolada bean soup to a spanakopita dinner and the village salad.Come for lunch, a date, a family supper or a birthday under our blue arches.
