Nestled along the Hudson River, Red Hat on the River has been delighting guests since 2003 with American modern bistro cuisine and breathtaking waterfront views—nearly every seat captures the scenery. Housed in a beautifully restored factory building, the space blends historic charm and contemporary warmth, featuring cozy banquettes, a pewter bar, and WPA-era artwork reminiscent of a turn-of-the-century Parisian bistro.What began as a Main Street bistro has evolved into a vibrant riverfront destination, complete with a rooftop bar, while remaining true to its mission of exceptional hospitality. The menu highlights Italian and French–inspired classics such as chicken milanese, pasta, steak frites, moules frites, and the signature Red Hat burger, alongside seasonal salads, seafood, craft cocktails, local beers, and old-world wines. Red Hat on the River also offers stunning spaces for private events, from corporate gatherings to elegant weddings.

The team at Bistro V (formerly known as Versailles) has been proud to serve the Greenwich community since 1994 at Méli-Mélo, but the story in town actually began in 1990 at the original Versailles café location a few doors up from our current location on Greenwich Avenue. The beloved Avenue has seen many changes over the years and when the current owner spotted the “for sale” sign posted on Versailles’ front door, nostalgia kicked in and could not let another Greenwich institution go! A facelift, a menu shift, and Versailles was reborn as Bistro V. Inspired by the classic bistro in France, the team at Bistro V is excited to share another cozy local hangout with their loyal patrons from Méli-Mélo and newcomers alike. Located in the heart of Greenwich, Bistro V is an all-day restaurant serving breakfast, lunch, dinner, and everyone’s favorite meal – weekend brunch.

    We went here to celebrate my wife’s birthday, and were immediately impressed with the changes in ownership and the menu. The owner herself met us as we walked in the door, and it was great to see the Leo our previous waiter was still working there. The food was amazing, the service was outstanding! We couldn’t have enjoyed our dinner there. Looking forward to going back right away, and we are also bragging about our experience with all of our friends & family.

    The property is beautiful with sweeping views of the Hudson. The food was amazing and the staff was super friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be coming back and so happy that we chose this restaurant for our daughter‘s birthday dinner.. The Beef bourguignon was stellar! My husband loved his burger and the muscles were in the most delicious broth served with excellent shoestring french fries in a cone (which I loved)….. My only gripe is that they did not serve any crusty bread which would have been so good with the broth. Atmosphere is very important to me and I love having a view. This place had it all!

    Everything is very good, including the service. My burger ordered medium came very well done, which was the only flaw. I forgot how very noisy this restaurant can get. Having a conversation can be an effort. It’s really the only negative I have.
