The venue itself is spacious, with a great atmosphere and room for dogs. What really stood out, though, was seeing Chuck Hahn himself casually walking around, tasting and checking the beers. As a chemical engineer who went on to become one of Australia’s most influential brewers, his genuine passion for the craft was so evident. There was something really special about watching someone who, even at 80, remains so personally invested in and excited by what he does. By far our favourite brewery.
