Most times trying a new restaurant relatively close to when they open is a set up for failure. Whether it be dialing in the food or service, there is always something left to be desired. This was not the case regarding little bird. I had the Okra and Hush puppy appetizers and the crawfish bucatini for my entree. I don't say this often, but the Okra dish blew me away. The charred flavor, combined with the citrus zest, and the creamy buttermilk was absolutely perfect. The Hush Puppies were fried well, but felt a little dense for me and needed a bit more flavor. I loved the bucatini. It reminded me of a more approachable fra diavolo. Incredible pickled calabrian chilies and a nice gremolata that added a bit of a bite to a really smooth sauce. Service was a bit disjointed, not bad, but a bit off. Overall, this feels like a place that is building a sustainable number of dishes to build off of and can get a bit more creative with the dishes in the future. In the interim it is a good space, with great food and somewhere you will want to frequent.

This was my boyfriend and I’s first time at Taste Kitchen! My goodness the server was amazing and the food was out of this world good! Definitely will be back!! We were celebrating our 1 year anniversary, and we ordered frozen drinks (which were STRONG and delicious) we were sat upstairs which allowed us to look at the street below and kinda people watch. We ordered the lobster bites which had calcified butter and spicy Tatar sauce! Soooo yummy! Then we ordered the Taste of Soul, I think it was called, I ordered it with oxtails and my bf ordered it with chicken. My goodness the waffle biscuit was delicious! The greens we both didn’t care for as they were really sweet and just not for us. Everything was beautiful and we were stuffed on our way out! We will definitely be back!!

Excellent view to mature trees and beautiful garden. Food exceeded expectations. Service was prompt and timely for every meal course.
