Sun Moon Studio is a farmer and producer-driven restaurant in West Oakland by Chefs Alan Hsu and Sarah Cooper.We offer a multi-course tasting menu for $180 per person in our intimate, 4-table dining room. Optional beverage pairings ($125) and non-alcoholic pairings ($60) are also available. The focus of our menu is to highlight the bounty of local producers and farmers through the lens of our life experiences. We are able to adjust our menu to accommodate many but not all dietary restrictions and require advanced notice to do so. Please notify us of your party's dietaries when making a reservation so we may plan for your arrival.Reservations are released 6 weeks ahead to the day at 12 noon PST. Please do not book a reservation that does not match your party size as a reduction in party size any time after booking will incur a fee.     The food is exceptional- read all the reviews. What i want to comment on is the service- it is attentive, friendly, knowledgeable, and relaxing. Everyone on the small staff made us feel honestly welcome and cared for. The servers rotated but we felt like they were variations on the same person and dinner flowed smoothly and uninterrupted. Everyone is clearly proud of the food and beverage program and it shows. I wish we could come back every week!

    We had an excellent experience at ACRE. Everything we ate was so good, especially the appetizers (cauliflower soup, Spencer’s shrimp). The service was top-notch too. And make sure to save room for dessert.

    Really nice experience having an early dinner here. The duck and risotto dish was delicious, and a prawn appetizer was enough for an entree, Very nice service, and the room was quiet enough that we could easily hear each other and enjoy our conversation.
