As we are accustomed to having a good meal at Blackstone last night was no exception. Chopped vegetable salad, followed by a wonderful Porterhouse for 2, with a baked potato on steroids and grilled asparagus. Capped off with banana cream pie. Our server, Julia was attentive and a manager also visited a few times to ask how the meal was.

This is our go to! It was a rainy Saturday - so no beach! The food was outstanding as was the service! They never disappoint!

Dinner here was a real throwback to the fine, comfortable, welcoming Italian restaurants that my family went to back in the 1960s and 70s. Excellent food, prepared and served to order, is the foundation. Add to that the staff congeniality and knowledge of the menu, and genial welcoming attitude. Mario Lanza, Sinatra, Dean Martin, Tony Bennett playing quietly in the background. A cold antipasto plate with real sharp provolone, generous roasted peppers, olives, prosciutto, salami, frexh mozzarella. I had thought places like this had faded into the past, but our visit to Piccola Bussola was a revelation that all is well with the world.

I rarely post personal information on Facebook but tonight's culinary experience merits a mention. Dagim Restaurant in Great Neck was the most accommodating and pleasing restaurant I've ever been in. The owner, Tony, and and the hostess (so sorry I forgot your name) couldn't have been more charming, eager to please and in a most lovely environment The restaurant is spacious and elegant without being pretentious. The food was beyond amazing and the service was excellent. I highly recommend Dagim Restaurant in Great Neck. We'll be back!
