The George Public House（ザ・ジョージ・パブリック・ハウス）は15世紀のヴィクトリア様式のコーヒーハウスを再生し、ストランドとフリート街が合流する地点に位置しています。見事な建築の王立裁判所の真向かいで、ウエストエンドから徒歩10分の場所にあります。The George（ザ・ジョージ）では2014年の秋に、グラウンドフロアのバーと1階（日本式の2階）のダイニングルームで大規模の綿密な改装を実施しました。改装後にはエレガントで洗練されたレストランのThe Pig and Goose at The George（ザ・ピッグ・アンド・グース・アット・ザ・ジョージ）、Horace Walpoleプライベート・ダイニングルームが作られました。歴史的なパブの当初の特色を注意深く維持し、店内全体の伝統的な雰囲気を残しながら独自の色をセンス良く加味しています。The George（ザ・ジョージ）の上階にある新しいPig & Goose（ピッグ＆グース）は月曜から土曜に営業しており、季節ごとで地元産の最高級の食材をのみを使用した心躍る現代的な英国料理を提供しています。Pig & Goose（ピッグ＆グース）レストランに隣接する専用のHorace Walpoleプライベート・ダイニングルームからは、見事な景色を望めます。

    Very underrated brasserie above the busy New Moon pub. Unlike the pub, this oasis is calm and quiet and offers excellent English food like fish and chips, good pies and chicken escalope but all classily done. Well worth a visit.

    The George was excellent. We were running late for a show and booked somewhat last minute. We arrived in a rush and Manuel was extraordinary in accommodating our family (including 5 & 7 year olds) with very quick ordering, colouring materials and exemplary service. The food was great, the venue is inviting and popular and the Manuel made our experience smooth, easy and memorable. An enthsiastic 5-star recommendation for a great pub dinner before a show. We'll definitely visit again.

    Amazing location, really clean, beautiful views and delicious food. Kids menu was great value for money with lots of nice options that weren’t like other crappy kids menus. I had to delay our booking as we were on a charity walk and weren’t going to make it in time. They were really understanding and accommodating. We will definitely be back!

    Very friendly staff and the food did not disappoint. We had one very minor problem (nothing to do with food quality) which was rectified swiftly in a manner which left me feeling very positive about this venue.
