A Historical Coaching Inn with Traditional bar and a formal dining room; both with its own character. We serve a great selection of pub classics, using as much produce from the nearby Ripley Castle Estate & Gardens as possible. Our chefs are constantly inspired to create special dishes to take advantage of the 2000 acre Estate and extensive Walled gardens produce.We serve a selection of popular local real ales and have guest beers on a regular basis including some rare gems, so there is always a reason to pop into the bar.There is a well structured and varied wine list suitable for all levels of wine drinker from affordable afternoon drinking through to more powerful and exquisite wines, which can be matched to our dishes to create a full dining experience.We cater for any number of guests from couples to larger parties, families and dog friendly tables in the bar. Please note we are unable to reserve tables outdoors.

The Hawthorn is a Georgian gem in the heart of Haworth, packed full of period features offering a relaxed environment to unwind with friends and family. This warm and appealing gastropub has been renovated throughout to showcase an array of local antiques including a stunning array of Barraclough clocks, homage to John Barraclough himself, Clockmaker to the Brontes, who used to live in this very building in the Georgian era.We serve only food made using the freshest seasonal British produce and our menu changes through the weeks to reflect this. We have a custom-made Josper charcoal grill which is the hottest indoor grill available and used by the best restaurants in the country. Cooking on the Josper ensures none of the natural moisture or flavour escapes from the food, whilst at the same time adding the distinct chargrilled taste.

Nestled in the up-market village of North Cowton, The Herdsman is a charming country gastro pub. Upon arrival you will be met by a well lit and spacious car park. Enter via the front or side doors and weave your way to the reception area. From here, choose to enjoy our fantastic range of alcoholic drinks, spirits, wines, soft drinks or warm drink selection in the cosy bar area. Featuring two log burners, mood lighting and blanket boxes, it’s the perfect setting to relax and enjoy a drink. This area is dog friendly too! When visiting for food from our Grill Kitchen, make the decision between eating in The Stable Room or Twilight Wood. Both with their own unique decor and features, sharing the same menu but with very different experiences. Head chef Roberto, and Sous Chef Molly will cook your meal to your liking and be sure to exceed your expectation. The Crathorne Arms is a great pub in a wonderful community spirited village, lovely people, Lord Crathorne himself couldn’t be more supportive, how lucky we are.Our life has come a full circle from a town pub in Middlesbrough (well Eugene has) to the tontine (McCoys Hotel, Restaurant and Bistro) to a village pub in Crathorne, Ten Minutes from Middlesbrough.We live above the pub, our furniture and furnishings live downstairs as they can’t and won’t fit up the stairs! So the canoe has the condiments, the bookcases our books, the huge sofa with big squashy cushions to sink into, tin lanterns reflecting patterns on the ceiling, this all makes for a homely feel and that’s what we would like to create along with good wholesome food and drink.Of Course the staff, front of house and kitchen are all great, hardworking, smiley, enthusiastic young people and a joy to work with.

A small 500-year-old traditional village pub owned by the Hannah family. A pub of yesteryear, it is a true little gem.A Free House, situated in the beautiful village of Raskelf, North Yorkshire (just off the A19 north of York). The pub dates back to the 16th century with its structure boasting ships timber brought up the river Ouse from Hull. The local cask ales are Theakston's Best, Timothy Taylor's Landlord & Hambleton brewery Stud Blonde (gluten free), The Sunday roasts are to die for with produce locally soured, some direct by the farmers that frequent the pub. Our beautiful seasonal changing menu includes, local steak selection, homemade pub classics, and dishes such as pork belly, Gressingham duck fillet, local lamb shank, BBQ beef short rib, lemon sole, Scottish rope grown mussels, Cornish king scallops, dressed crab salad to name a few. All prepared fresh and cooked by our amazing head chef Steve Wanless and sous chef Rachel Johnson. Booking is essential.

    We dined last night and had the most amazing meals! The place is amazing. Such a cosy, upmarket country restaurant/pub with a Brillaint atmosphere. You definitely pay for what you get! Homemade food, family run business and that „at home feeling”. The decor is amazing! Such a hidden gem and we will definitely be back. What a turnaround for the Herdsman.

    We booked a table for Sunday lunch on July 26. Everything about our visit was very enjoyable. The atmosphere was very convivial and all the staff we came across could not have been more helpful. And as for the food, well, that was excellent! We were all totally stuffed by the end of the meal!! I would recommend anyone to go to the Old Black Bull
