Guests and locals alike can enjoy classic British and European cuisine at Restaurant 66a in Oxford’s Cotswold Lodge Hotel. The 4-star hotel is located within walking distance of Oxford’s historic city centre, making it the perfect stop-off after a day of sight-seeing there or in the nearby Cotswolds. The elegant, modern dining room at Restaurant 66a is gracefully fitted into the lovely Georgian building, retaining the authentic fireplace, high ceilings and bay windows, and adding smart wood and brass fittings and luxe upholstery. In summer, the garden courtyard is the most romantic spot in town. Menus here change regularly - the chef employs the freshest seasonal ingredients, sourced locally wherever possible - although there’s always a range of classic European flavour combinations on offer. Choose from cream of pumpkin soup with truffle oil or roast lamb with dauphinoise potato, red cabbage and rosemary jus. Fancy a great fish and chips or steak? We do that too!

    Absolutely fabulous evening. We were greeted and seated by a lovely lady and then a gentleman asked how we were and gave us the drinks menu to decide what we wanted hubby was driving so he had a pint of lemonade and lime cordial and I had a glass of rose’ Zinfidel , delicious. For starters we ordered mussels in white wine/cream sauce from the specials board and goats cheese on a round of fig wrapped in prosciutto both were very good. Mains we had decided we were going to have Lasagne before we got there , as last time we got tempted by the specials board and so this time we were determined to stick to the plan. Honestly best Lasagne ever! Every bite was full of flavour and very hot, we were offered Parmesan cheese to go on top and this was the finishing touch to a perfect dish. Don’t be tempted to order extras honestly you won’t need it, we did however order some ciabatta to ensure we didn’t waste any of the sauce. Disappointingly we were completely full with no room for a dessert. Just have to go back another day. This restaurant will not disappoint it delivers on service and food. All staff are lovely and friendly almost like they are welcoming you into their home for dinner. We will be again soon

    The set menu has a great selection of food to suit many tastes making this top notch venue affordable. The hostess made us feel like old friends returning. The service was friendly and helpful. Thoroughly recommended.
