Portland's Oven and Shaker is a popular dining destination for locals and visitors who crave artisan pizzas and unique bar drinks served in a warm and inviting setting. The nettle pesto arancino rice ball made with parmesan risotto and mushrooms and the fried calamari and octopus fritto misto with lemon and honey make stunning starters. In addition to traditional pizza choices, like margherita and bianca, Oven and Shaker crafts specialty pizzas, like the maple pig topped with apple butter, smoked ham, pork belly and maple mascarpone, the goat cheese topped with roasted leeks, prosciutto and aged balsamic and the vegetarian cauliflower topped with peppers, olives and cheese. Head pizzaiola and owner Miriam Weiskind hails from Brooklyn, New York now bringing her passion and artistry in pizza making to Portland, Oregon. Miriam, founder of The Za Report, first gained accolades teaching pizza with Scott Wiener of Scott’s Pizza Tours in NYC. About a decade later, she began baking pizza and during the pandemic helped to launch the pizza popup scene in NYC and beyond. During the pandemic, she baked more than 5,000 pizzas from her 350’ Brooklyn apartment to help New Yorkers in need.Having starred on The Food Network’s CHOPPED and Hulu’s Best in Dough, Miriam has gained international recognition in pizza for her eccentric pizza recipes and craft in creating a truly special dough.Prior to moving to Portland, Miriam was written up in the New York Times by Pete Wells as one of NYC’s best new aspiring pizza masters in NYC having baked pizza he could only dream about.

    Dino is always a terrific experience. Everything from the food, the music, the service, the freaking plate ware! Such incredible attention to the comfort and pleasure of dining, it makes one feel as though they are in far fancier restaurant. Cibo manages to keep all the class, and still be very affordable for what one gets. The best pasta, pizza, and much more in this city, maybe on the west coast. I dare you to try it and not agree!

    Love this place … we’ve ordered takeout twice and been there with our newborn for a group dinner and on our own and they are always so great. Our favorite new neighborhood spot and the food is always 10/10
