That means no more searching for chef Dan Rabilwongse’s pressed sushi specialties, plus other Japanese dishes with ties to Thai and French cuisine. Don't forget: shochu swizzles and soft serve, too.Need to know: We release reservations 7 days out at 12pm PST for parties up to 6 guests. Email hello@budonoki.la for larger parties. We have tables and bar seats available for walk-ins on a first come, first serve basis. If you are running late, please call or text as we do have a 15-minute grace period on all reservations. Valet parking is available daily. Entrance with signage is located on Virgil Ave just south of the restaurant's entrance.No-shows and same-day cancellations will be subject to a cancellation charge of $25 per guest.

In August 2024, Michelin & James Beard-recognized Chef Ricardo Zarate opened The Hummingbird Ceviche House featuring the Nikkei (Japanese-Peruvian) cuisine he’s best known for. In a charming space with a turquoise-quartz bar, The Hummingbird serves an irresistible bill of fare focused on fresh seafood prepared using Nikkei techniques elevated by California influences. The L.A. Times' Laurie Ochoa wrote: "...the service is caring and the food, including an aji amarillo hummus flatbread and sesame-leaf shrimp dumplings with tiger's milk aioli, is inventive and delicious. And...the Hummingbird is affordable." Diners delight in Nikkei hand rolls, delectable ceviches, small bites, hot dishes, desserts and house-made drinks.
