We returned to this restaurant years after our first to find it even better than our memories. We had been hosted by a local businessman with his family. My wife worked with some of family back home and they wanted us to experience a true Turkish dinner. We were hoping that what we remembered was accurate. We were not disappointed. We tried as much of the offerings as we could comfortably consume. Every item was memorable, tasteful and new. This is why we travel and eat local. I can get chicken nuggets and fries anywhere. I want authentic foods prepared and served with pride and care. From beginning to end the staff and service deserves recognition for their excellent service. Cemal was our waiter and was able to guide us to the best choice’s. I will return and wholeheartedly recommend it to everyone. I do need to add that the views are amazing. You can view the Blue Mosque from your table on the 6th floor. A visit should be on everyone’s menu to Istanbul.

Spent the evening here on the lovely roof terrace celebrating my partner’s birthday. We had the best time, the staff were super attentive with lovely extra touches such as decorating the table for her birthday before we arrived. The food was amazing, strongly recommend the baklava. All in all, a fantastic evening.

Perfekter Abend, toller Service, wunderbares Essen …vorher ein Drink an der Bar … und grandiose Aussicht auf den Bosporus. Meine Gäste waren total begeistert.

Had a lovely solo dining experience in the courtyard of Avlu. My server was very helpful in recommending dishes and helping me find excellent Turkish wine pairings. One of the best meals I had in Istanbul. Will definitely come again on my next trip to Istanbul.

The pistachio kabob was great! The service was attentive. The view was outstanding!
