One of my favorite restaurants. Always great food from their comprehensive french menu. Beautiful decor.
A little dated. Typical palm desert crowd. Boring. Food decent
Perfect -a totally delightful experience.
Had a wonderful Brunch last Sunday out on the patio. A sublime experience.
First time at Cuistot. Amazing french food. I had the cassoulet and my mother had the rack of lamb. The sommelier at the restaurant helped us pair wine with your entrees and Mushroom soup. Will definitely go back. Such a beautiful environment. Got a drink before dinner in the bar and they were having Happy Hour.
Gorgeous restaurant ! Wonderful service and fabulous food. Beautiful and fun Friday fashion show, very enjoyable!!
We enjoyed the weekend brunch. All in our party of four enjoyed our food selections and the lovely ambiance. Particularly enjoyable was the live music, piano and violin. We will certainly visit Cuistot again!
Fireplace, piano, soft lighting, relaxed environment with courteous staff and delicious food. Romantic, leisurely and elegant.k Jill
It was pricey for sure but great on every scale. The food was delicately seasoned and perfectly cooked and prepared. Drinks were strong and perfect. The service was attentive but didn't rush us.
Exceptional dining establishment. Unassuming staff, exquisite cuisine, charming old world venue. It was a wonderful, fine dining experience.
My wife and I dined here Saturday, March 7. What a thoroughly enjoyable evening. Fabulous food, remarkable service and very European ambiance combined to make this an evening we will not soon forget.
Our server, Paula, employed well honed time management skills, never pressuring us for an order. In fact, she asked if we would like to enjoy our first glass of wine before she brought the menus. That small gesture spoke volumes about her training.
We shared the short rib ravioli to start. They were AMAZING! In fact, we discussed returning to sit at the bar to enjoy these delightful little pillows with a glass of wine and dessert. Our entrees included the halibut special and the cassoulet. Both were expertly prepared and bursting with flavor. For a peasant dish the cassoulet was to die for!
We capped the evening with the piece de resistance, the peach cobbler. Oh my, it was over the top good and not as heavy as you might expect.
The restaurants in which we have had the great fortune to indulge that have garnered five stars are Alinea, Daniel and Le Bernadin, for the price this was every bit as delightful.
Impeccable service. Beautiful porch dining. Plenty of food options. Delicious.
Lovely restaurant and food. Our server was very busy but attentive. We were brought the wrong food twice, however the server quickly corrected the mistakes. We would absolutely go back the next time we are in Palm Desert.
Cuistot truly does it right. The service is impeccable. The food is wonderful. I would return in a heartbeat.
Although the restaurant was not crowded at all, service was slow. We like leisurely service, but this was slow.
Wonderful evening with delicious food and great service.
Ambiance was heightened due to the non-stop gorgeous music provided by the pianist and the violinist. Their own obvious enjoyment was worth watching. Wonderful experience. Food was delicious and the variety and portions were just right.
The service was AMAZING - everyone went above and beyond to make our brunch amazing. The server provided great insights and recommendations (and didn't try to oversell) - the food runners, the manager... everyone made our brunch great. The food was delicious and great value for all the courses and champagne. I highly recommend this place for a cozy brunch.
First class in all respects. Old style French dining in the main room. Bistro area looks like a viable option too.
We visited twice in the week. The first was for happy hour on the patio. We had mussels, papradella with truffles and lamb sliders. All 3 were amazing. The Pinot noir was exceptional. We came back for my wife’s birthday and the service was fantastic. A great evening with great food and wine. The ambiance was really warm and comfortable. We will definitely return
Very pleasant atmosphere, we sat on the patio and enjoyed the beautiful views. The service was amazing and the food was delicious. I would highly recommend!
We thoroughly enjoy the US vs France Wine dinner. We look forward to more special dinners in the future.
Service was abysmal. We were seated and our waiter treated us, then did not come back for over 30 minutes. We asked advised other staff that we were ready to order. Nothing happened. We eventually went to find our server. Our order had missing missing items. The meal will be memorable for all the wrong reasons.
5 Stars for the Restaurant, the Scallops/Lobster appetizer was amazing (more Lobster would have been nice), the Pork medallions were worth their weight in gold and the Peach cobbler was a fitting finale to an evening well spent. One of the best dining evenings I’ve had.
Great ambiance, service and food! Try it, and you will love it.
Saturday was a pleasant day to enjoy lunch at Cuistot
What a fun find!!! Everyone was pleasant and service was outstanding. Had the Cassoulet, don't recommend it, but everything else was fantastic!!!
We had a wonderful dinner at Cuistot. Caesar salad was excellent as always. Excellent wine selection. We had a very mellow evening sitting on the patio. Highly recommend.
The lunch menu has a lot of options and the main dining room is a pretty setting. You can order anything from appetizers, starters, sandwiches to entrees. The waitress was attentive, as were the busboys. I will go back. The time from ordering to delivering the food was slow, but it was a fashion and everyone came in at once. Other than that, it was great.
Great food. Large portions. European style professional service.
We had an amazing dinner experience with our first time with French cuisine. Our waiter Constantine was wonderful and made it even better!
Long wait for food and drink -- food was good but unexceptional, service lagged -- frustrating they didn't have simple syrup for iced tea
Food was amazing, service was awful. Our waiter, tall black man with beard was just rude with a bad attitude the entire meal.
Quickly: if your looking for a good food with a wide variety of options, at a very reasonable price point for the quality with a nice but quieter ambiance and good service (not looking for the next trendy thing), go here!
I seriously love this place and have never had a bad meal here in all the times I’ve come here. My husband and I are a younger couple (early 30’s) and even though it can have an older crowd the ambience is a so pleasant.
Tonight I took my girlfriends there for a nice relaxing girls night out in the desert and we all had an amazing time. The food was so delicious and I love that they have a variety of different dishes from traditional entrees to more exotic meats to try like quail, duck, and rabbit which are all done very well. On top of all that the service was amazing: our waiter was so nice and attentive during our meal, every person in the restaurant was very polite and helpful.
I got extremely excited when I saw they had my favorite ice wine brand on the menu that I haven’t had in some time due to not benign able to find it. They were nice enough to not only to bring the bottle out to show me if it was the correct one but to gave some delicious additional samples that were right on par with my taste and recommendations for new ice wines to try. For desert we got the soufflé was to die for; it might have only last on the table as long as it did solely because it was hot but it was devoured with pleasure.
I wish I could say more about the place and the staff but this is great place to go for great dinner
Thank you so much! Looking forward to seeing you again soon.
From the moment we walked into Cuistot we were made to feel special. We had requested a table on the patio, but it was chilly out and the hostess had thought ahead and suggested that we take a different seat inside. It was the seat right in front of the fireplace, the best table in the restaurant. As soon as we sat down, Chris the sommelier came over to offer his assistance with wine. He suggested a wine we hadn’t heard of that turned out to be exactly what we wanted. Our waiter Pelton was engaging and attentive. And to top it all off, the food was amazing - the best Dover Sole either of us has had. Fantastic experience all around.
The food is better then ever.
We sat on the patio on a beautiful evening. The heater mounted on the end of the wood frame kept making a loud noise and then quit. They tried starting up a few times and finally moved a heater by our table.
The railing had strings of bright led lights. They were way too bright. They should be put on a dimmer for led lights and set the mood.
Loved everything about this place. Can’t wait to go back.
But service needs to be improved. Three people involved to get service. Then manager comes over all “cheery” like there hadn’t been an issue. We were embarrassed due to friends we took there for Valentines celebration!
Outstanding dining experience in every way!
Thank you so much! Glad to hear you had an enjoyable experience on Valentine's Day. Hope to see you again real soon.
