   This is a hidden gem - the food is excellent (and we have high standards having traveled the world!) and the service is top notch. The kitchen staff was very engaged, as was the manager (Mr. Smajlovic) who couldn't have been more polite throughout our dinner - making us feel very much at home. The only negative is that if you go early for dinner - it is very quiet (it's a later evening place we were told). But no complaints in regards to the food experience -- highly recommend if you want a fantastic dinner!

   For a restaurant in a hotel it's very good. I find the options in downtown Cincinnati to be limited. D Burnham's just went to the top of my list.

   We ate at D. Burnham’s before the CSO concert and enjoyed an early evening meal of soup, salad and appetizers. Our server was delightful and attentive. Cream of asparagus soup was served hot (my pet peeve is warm soup) and was quite tasty. The hummus was beautifully presented with olives, marinated peppers and grilled pita. The baby kale salad was filled with fresh ingredients and the crab cake was delectable. We will be back!

    Excellent place to go and talk. Not to many places are set up to make you feel you are by yourself. The design of the areas gives you the feel and the noise level is low so you can actually hear the person you are talking with. Service was impeccable. We didn’t even have to ask our server she just did what needed to be done. Food was great. Variety was nice especially 2 different types of fish. Only thing that would have been nice would have been bread. We did get pita.

    Service , decor and food was excellent. The dining area was empty (we were the only people seated) which is usually a sign that the food or service is not good. That could not have been further from the truth. Drinks were delicious. The food was amazing. Sea bass was exceptional as well as the chocolate fudge cake. We will for sure be back.     The Valentines dinner was fantastic and it was our first time dining here. We had the salmon and short rib and it was one of our best meals ever. At the end of the meal, they brought over 2 glasses of champagne, 2 chocolate covered strawberries and a heart shaped box of candy. So very impressive!!     D. Burnham’s never disappoints. If you work in the business district downtown and have not found D. Burnham’s yet - stop what you are doing and plan a lunch out. It is a hidden treasure with freshly made, seasonal specials and soups, incredible produce and meats and bread varieties that are different and much better than you will find anywhere else. The service from the time you walk in the door is impeccable - one of the few places that actually still looks to really serve you as a customer - and they mean it. Perfect ambiance for a business lunch and special enough to treat co-workers and clients.

    We expected this downtown Cincinnati restaurant to be crowded at lunchtime on a Thursday afternoon, but we were one of only about four tables occupied in the restaurant. This was fine with us because we wanted something peaceful and quiet where my friend and I could talk without having to shout at each other. The lunch menu is extensive and so many things sounded very appealing. I decided on the Cali Chicken sandwich and my friend had the chicken salad sandwich. Homemade kettle chips were the highlight of the lunch although both sandwiches were excellent. A really nice place for lunch if one is going to the van Gogh exhibit, which is only about a block away. Thoroughly enjoyed our meals!
