Received a welcoming cordial greeting from host at front desk. Had Saturday evening dinner main Inn reservations, and our partly of four was seated promptly. Had a remarkable waitress with excellent service. We all had the delicious lobster chowder, and entrees were presented well - prime rib, braised short ribs, duckling and cluster cod with lobster topping - all were very good. Finished with desserts. The menu had pretty much something for anyone - a lot to choose from. That night the Inn's Tavern had a singer/ guitarist that sounded great, and a separate room had an adult birthday party happening..

We have been going to DW for every special occasion in our family since 1974. We have never been disappointed. Large or small parties, service has always been excellent and gracious. The food is wonderful and creative, they always have my favorite wine on hand, and the conservatory overlooking the garden is the perfect atmosphere whatever the time of year. During our latest visit, our server Brian was an absolute joy. He is a wonderfully personable man and I wanted to have him just draw up a chair and join us to chat over dessert. A lovely experience every time!

We went for brunch. When I told the server I had a seafood allergy, she was very diligent. In fact, she offered to make a Bloody Mary without the usual mix because it contained Worcestershire sauce, which has anchovies in it.

It is just a wonderful place to have dinner. The quaintness of the Traditional Inn is an added plus. Eating in the Conservatory Room is especially nice.

My wife, my best friend and his wife all got together for a Valentine's Day dinner at the Dan'l Webster Inn. We were seated in the back room of the tavern which was warm and quiet. Nice fireplace and comfortable seating. I had the lobster sprinkled cod, which was wonderful. Good drinks! The bar made a memorable Maker's Mark Manhattan straight up, the ladies enjoyed Sauvignon blanc, and my pal had a Tanqueray and tonic. Wonderful desserts, too. Everything was perfect for a wonderful, memorable evening.

My wife and I were there for Valentines Day. The food was excellent. The service was good, considering how busy it was. The atmosphere was not the usual, as we were seated in the pub area, rather than the main dining room. As usual for Valentines Day, prices were somewhat higher than usual. Overall, a nice experience.

If you go be sure to request to be seated in the conservatory not the overflow function room like we were on Valentines day, the atmosphere is bland comparatively. The Tavern is also another option for a less formal setting yet with plenty of warmth and live entertainment. The lesson learned is, they struggle with larger than normal crowds during the off season anyway. We arrived at 6:45 and checked out at 8:57. The food was wonderful and the waitstaff professional but overburden with tables. The atmosphere was nothing special so the waiting felt especially long. I'm glad I took a walk around to learn of the other options which I've recommended. The highlight in the Conservatory was the glass wall with a waterfall beyond, it was astonishing especially on such a cold night when it was partially frozen.

Food was very good. I had co-au-vin. It was slightly under-cooked and one piece was quite rubbery, but the roast potatoes, cabbage and gravy were delicious. My wife had the scallops and they were very good. For dessert we shared a sampler of four desserts, each of which was magnificent!

We had a wonderful lunch.
I had a reward certificate that the waitress was unfamiliar with but they did a wonderful job checking on it and processing it for us. Daniel Webster Inn is a very cozy spot for a nice meal.

Menu items were removed not to mention we ate mostly off of plastic ware. Apparently something in kitchen caused for these inconveniences. Food was served quickly and wasn’t worth the price i paid. The French onion was the only thing I would recommend from that evening. What made it worse was I paid the $124 bill with $160, expecting to get change in order to leave the waitress a 20% tip. After all the problems that evening were not her fault. To my surprise she cane to table took my money said thank you and took off. Never came back until I flagged her down 10 minutes later. She was like oh did you want change. I was like yes wasn’t planning on giving her a $36 tip. Overall it’s not what it used to be and I will not be going back again

To begin with, this was our second visit. We had previously dined at Dan'l Webster Inn a few years ago. On that visit, we thought it was okay, maybe a litle pricey for the quality of food but a lovely venue. This visit was a 6 pm Thursday night visit. On a positive note, our server was great. She was friendly, attentive and really mad an effort to make our evening enjoyable. We had made a reservation using open table a few days prior to our visit. The reason I mention this, is that the restaurant had our contact info. Once we were seated we were given a couple of menus and told that there was a limited menu due to a kitchen renovation. We were surprised and disappointed at this information. The restaurant group has professional websites. This information should have been posted or at the least communicated in an email when the reservation was confirmed. The waitress brought over bread accompanied by plastic disposable plates. when our meals arrived, my Caesar salad came on a plastic dinner plate while my husband and a third person's were served on proper plates. The food ( separate from the plate issue was lack luster at best and over priced. This whole experience was a great disappointment. Given the various dining options in the area, choose a different place.

When we were seated we were told about the kitchen renovations and how they had a limited menu. The meals were very small and we HAD to order complete meals with soups or salads, entrees and desserts. It was a very expensive night for meals that we were not expecting. The good thing is we were the only people in the dining room so we had the whole room to ourselves!!

This is a yes with qualifications. We have been there for celebratory evenings many times and have always been happy. This time was quite different. We were called and told the Conservatory was closed because there was no heat. We thought this was a good and responsible way the handle things and decided to go ahead with our plans. We were seated in an old dining room with only 2 other tables of customers in this room. Our drinks arrived which were delicious. Then the apps and main courses came served on PLASTIC plates. When we inquired - the server told us the dishwasher was broken and the only people who got real plates were the ones that ordered the prime rib or steak. That was because the knives would cut thru the plastic. That to me seemed like a more important piece of info that should have been shared. I ordered the large piece of cod which was a small piece with 2 little pieces thrown on the side. Not a pretty presentation at all. It was not their usual quality of food either. The high prices remained the same. All in all - it was a disappointing evening. A big bill to have to eat mediocre food on plastic plates!!! Will we go back - hopefully yes but the jury is still out.

Solarium was closed due to heating issues. The plate room was under construction so we were served everything in plastic plates! Early dinner and they were out of scallops and prime rib. No specials, only regular dinner rolls and in the past always known for different breads, including cranberry bread, in the bread basket. Waitress told us they’ve never had that which is not true. Service was horrible. We sat for 25 mins before we got any service and had to ask for bread while we waited because when we finally ordered an appetizer she brought something that was t even ordered by us.
Very disappointed! We have gone to this restaurant for years and last time food wasn’t good and we decided to try it again. Sorry we even gave it another chance. We almost walked out.

Food was meh, service was meh and really slow. Seems like they had a few staff not make it in on NY day. Although there were some staff standing around waiting for something to happen our coffee and tea remained empty. All the food was well done, towards burnt and this was breakfast. I've had great service and food on previous visits to Daniel Webster.

Always enjoy going there for the food, service and ambiance. Found my meal to be very salty on New Years Eve, my husbands meal was not. Think it was due to the volume of meals on a holiday. It won't keep me away. I've just had better there in the past.

We loved our lunch at the Dan'l Webster Inn! A cold rainy day on the Cape meant that we couldn't comfortably walk around Sandwich, so we opted for an indoor "outing" at the Inn. Ambiance was lovely, and the service outstanding. We both had the Lobster Sandwich, which was full of succulent lobster meat, and not overly dressed, so the full flavor of the lobster was present in each bite! The wine list was excellent, and we enjoyed a lovely white Burgundy with the lobster. We look forward to being back on the Cape on a sunny day, and will again visit the Inn!

I have been looking forward to going and was disappointed. The service was not good at all and the food was just average. I normally don't get to hung up on one thing but when the food and service are average at best and then you get the check. It just makes the experience below average. I gave 3 stars but very easily could have gone with two. Not impressed.

Disappointed to be seated in “blue” function room instead of conservatory or music room. Surrounded by several tables with loud talkers. Service was extremely slow from ordering drinks all the way through to waiting for the check and the credit card to come back.
