Sweet Onion Bhaji
with Tamarind Chutney
Roasted Beet Salad
Orange, Fennel, Labneh, Citrus Vinaigrette, Honey-roasted Pistachios, and Lavash
In the beginning of patios open for dining there were very few customers. The food was very tasty but not overly exceptional. The setting is a bit austere and the courtyard could use some embellishment like flowers or greenery or sculpture but it was comfortable.
Excellent service and a very friendly server.
We would go again.
We had a delicious lunch at Diwan.
We have dined at Diwan many times - it never disappoints
Delicious and unforgettable flavours only at the Diwan at Aga Khan Museum. Enlightenment and nourishment in one spot-just awaiting your presence!
What a fab experience!
As a first venture out to a restaurant since the Covid outbreak this was the perfect spot. To begin, the restaurant team was super vigilant about safety which was very much appreciated.
Seating outdoors was very well spaced out and with the water “pools” nearby, created a very tranquil setting. Food and service were excellent. With a strong recommendation to try the beef short ribs & hummus - was super delish!
A wonderful and safe dining experience! Thank you!
Beautiful restaurant! Food was amazing. We had a great time.👍
Food was very flavourful and well presented. Excellent choice of dishes.
Can't wait to return.
Food was great, our waitress was pleasant however it took far too long to get one of our appetizers.
We’ve been there a couple of times & it seems common to hear “we ran out of this”or “we don’t have that today”....
It might make more sense to change to a menu board so customers can see what’s available before you give them a printed menu!
Or tell us about what’s NOT on the menu when we sit down...so we won’t disappointed when we want to order an item that you don’t have
Very pleased with the food.
Really bad service.
Exceptional dining experience!
Will recommend it to family and friends.
Gracious service, elegant ambience, diverse and interesting menu!
Good food . Portions a bit large
Excellent place for lunch - great food, attentive service all in the centre of the wonderful Aga Khan museum.
Food is quite delicious, service was impeccable. We have been there a few times already, and food/service has always been consistently great. I loved the fact that the server warned us that even though the meat was halal, some food preparation involved alchohol.
Most delicious dishes, some tailored to the ongoing exhibit theme (caravans across the Sahara), polite and courteous waiters, gorgeous interior and lovely view of the grounds--one of my favorite restaurants in Toronto.
There should be more Vegan options for starters, mains and desserts.
Great venue and great food. A bit pricey for the portion size.
Great everything, food, service, ambient.
The menu is to come back many times
Only one small sugestion, for us drivers it would be nice to see non alcoholic beer in the list.
Interesting food, beautiful ambience,good service.
Lovely service and food. But long wait for service and food. You need more servers . Gorgeous food. Loved the vegetarian options
Excellent waiter and Food
We've dined at Diwan about 5 times now but not for a year. We thought it would be a nice way to celebrate Valentine's Day and it was a wise decision. The menu was new and aligned with the Caravans of Gold West Africa exhibit. It was quite busy but the service was very attentive without being intrusive. We had one of our best meals there yet. I had my favourite Onion Bahji for a shareable appetizer. My husband had the delicious Shrimp Tickka which arrived sizzling on a hot plate-it looked and sounded so good that I took a video. For our mains, I had the delightfully spicy Crusted Salmon and he had some very tasty Tuna. I splurged with the yummy Hazelnut parfait for dessert. Diwan is not cheap but we find it's good value for its excellent menu, ambience and service. We then spent the afternoon exploring the Caravans exhibition. Oh & I bought some lovely earrings on sale in the lovely little gift shop. We will return.
Feb. 13, 2020. Soup was too spicy to eat. Chicken was okay, couscous soggy, date cake was okay, all 3 spoonfuls! Will not be returning. The food was always overpriced, but at least before it was good. So disappointing. Would not recommend Diwan at the Aga Khan Museum to anyone anymore. Felt completely ripped off.
We have enjoyed all the meals we have had at the Diwan; always a must when we go to the museum.
Great experience...though artic char tasted lle it was not fresh and was way over salted.
Everything about Diwan was amazing. The food, the ambiance and the staff were wonderful We had a great waiter, Angelo, who explained about the artwork in the restaurant, gave us a wonderful overview of the menu and was very attentive during our stay. Our group had a lot of fun with Angelo. We are looking forward to our next visit in the summer when we can sit outside on the lovely patio.
The Winterlicious Meal was exceptional and filling
We had Fatoush Salad -very filling -2 of us shared i
Artic Char with pumpkin sauce and fish cake and minipasta -excellent and filling!
Then the date Cake delicious
Worth the $33 per person
I have been to Diwan four or five times. The Winterlicious menu was great and the quality of food was the best it has ever been.
Great atmosphere, and quiet even though it was full
Went for winterlicious
Soup was disappointing
Main course was quite good
Soup and main course was not hot
Very good overall. Food was excellent , not salty and the temperature was perfect. Good service too.
1st time to having lunch in Aga Khan and the experience was great! Love the food and the environment. Just make sure you can Pak your car underground since there is not enough sign
Winterlicious menu was delicious. Service was friendly. Ambiance was lovely.
I have to say that what we enjoyed most was the outstanding service, the staff was really excellent. the food was very good however I did find the main portion on the very small side and it didn't have the most inspiring sides with it, the dessert however was a highlight.
I thought that the atmosphere of the restaurant was somewhat disappointing, I guess whoever took the pictures for the restaurant which are posted on line should get photo credits, they did a great job as it is a little misleading, I found it a little boring and drab for a higher end restaurant. We might try again in summer when you can sit on the patio
The food was excellent and very good value, the staff courteous and engaging, the ambience lovely!
We can’t wait to return in the summertime Thank you,
Very nice atmosphere and food quality is very good. Server is nice and attentive.
Beautiful space. Beautiful food. Warm, knowledgeable and professional service. A perfect experience.
Both the service and the food were excellent. We will be back. Need for some sitting in tunnel between underground parking and elevator (it is a fair distance) especially for patrons with mobility challenges.
We were a table of 7 and it was our first time at Diwan to try out their Winterlicious Lunch menu. The decor is warm and bright along with their food and service. I enjoyed the flavours and spices in the veal kofta dish and the mango panacotta was almost too pretty to eat. The underground parking and signage is a little difficult to find but, the location of this restaurant in the museum is definitely worth the visit.
Came here for winterlicious and enjoyed a lot. Like all the dishes that we've ordered. Great ambiance, nice service.
