My husband, daughter and I had a lovely last meal on your rooftop patio before lockdown 2.0. Delicious food and drinks and an excellent knowledgeable server! We look forward to seeing you again when things open back up!

The Drake probably has the nicest patio in the neighbourhood, they have put a lot of work in and it shows. It feels safe, cozy and even warm. We were there when it was around the freezing mark and it was totally comfortable.

My issue with the Drake is that it's always impossible to get out of there without spending $100. I'm very much a dive bar kind of guy. My vanilla old fashioned was DELICIOUS, as were the crispy cauliflower and truffle fries! Quality is always high at the Drake, and the prices are fair considering, but I'm annoyingly frugal and it's just a sore spot for me.

Keep up the good work. I'll be back for the ambiance and feeling of safety from our new COVID overlord.

Although we had booked a table on what was advertised to be their heated, rooftop patio bar complete with plexiglass dividers, upon arrival we were told non apologetically that the roof was closed, and instead we could sit at the streetside cafe if we wanted, which did not have dividers, and the heaters were not working well as we were told that they do not function properly in windy weather. In the end the experience was ok, but we were frustrated as we thought we would be going to a nice dining experience, and ended up at a quite chilly and noisy cafe, which we could have found closer to home and didn't need to make the trek downtown and pay for parking for.

Had a really good brunch with my friends. No complaints, good experience.

Good over all experience. The space heaters on the patio were nice and warm. Our service was very good as well. Wished the rooftop was open, also the menu was very limited so we didn’t see anything we liked food wise we ordered drinks though. Wish there were more veggie / seafood options. Also you should be accepting cash as a payment. Cash is Canada’s legal currency and should never be not accepted. That was disappointing. But again, over all it was nice, and I’d come back when the rooftop is open!

Second time using during patio only. Same server. She was GREAT both times.

Had a lovely evening with some friends sitting on the heated outdoor patio. The food was amazing and the drinks were fantastic , the meatballs are 10/10.

Felt very safe with co vid precautions.

It was very cold probably would have appreciated more heat from the patio heaters. Maybe getting one of those tents some restaurants are doing - but it was a good time and the service was great. We made reservations but felt rushed when waiter kept reminding us we had only two hours to eat and talk when it was a catch up social wth friends. We felt rushed to order and get out.

The brunch menu was cancelled suddenly due to indoor people having to move outdoor.
Has a know prior to last minute, I would have gone else where. I had made a reservation.
We came for brunch. Server was very good however!

Seated quickly. Although our waitress was efficient and kind, there was no “hi, welcome to the drake,” or anything of the sort, it was a “can I get you something to drink”. A small “welcome” makes a difference for new guests :)
No mimosas listed on the brunch or drink menu , and maybe that’s because they charged $12 for each (that was heavy on the juice)!
No coffees on the menu either, and a standard brewed coffee was $3.75, vs an Americano for $4 (more standard pricing). Not to mention the coffee was cold. They did pour me a new cup which was nice and hot.

Service was good/timely/attentive in general, and food was tasty.

High pricing for drinks like pot coffee and a mimosas (that don’t take any effort,) and purposely keeping them off the menu - comes off as sneaky, (consider bumping up your main menu items instead slightly to make a profit). Left a bad taste in my mouth, no pun intended.

Host and server were very nice and attentive, but we were initially put on the extended patio with no heating while there were available seats on the heated patio. We asked to be moved and it wasn’t an issue so that was nice. My partner ordered the maple glazed salmon, it wasn’t bad but wasn’t anything to write home about, it could have been more flavourful. But I ordered the pork bolognese gemelli and I truly hate using this word but it was gross. It was definitely as advertised so it was my own fault for ordering it, but the flavour in conjunction with the texture was quite unpleasant. Drake brunch is great but I think the dinner menu needs a bit of a revamp.

Patio wasn’t that great, rooftop is more worth it. Went in for the brunch and I was not really impressed with the food options or the taste itself. It’s on me though I should have checked the verity of options on the menu first. Found it to be quite bland.

I am very impressed with The Drake Hotel's screening process, starting with a temperature check at the door. Heating lamps on the covered patio meant an enjoyable experience even in the rain. Servers were so sweet in allowing me to sample a wine, especially when there are so many more sanitation requirements. The maple salmon was moist and flakey and I loved the squash that came with it. Thank you so much for such a wonderful dining experience, and we can't wait to come back again soon.

Normally I have had really nice dining experiences at The Drake, but this time I truly did not. My main issue was that the food was subpar, especially for the price.

Went to the Drake Hotel for weekend brunch, has the eggs benny and was sooo good they were able to accommodate my substitution of the shaved ham with sausage instead. Friends had the Huevos Rancheros and was equally delish. Server even brought us the house hot sauce which was amazing! Their latte was super great as well! Finished off our meal with the blueberry scones which were still warm from the oven just wish they were bigger to be honest! Overall great meal and would totally go back.

Awesome rooftop patio for brunch. The cocktails were very good (great caesars). I was with a group of 7 people and there was some confusion with the menu/waiter on wanting to add avocado to the eggs benny vs substituting. With that said, the waiter corrected this for us in short order and the food was pretty good. I would recommend this place as a solid brunch option.

The service and atmosphere was great but the food was not very good. By the time the food arrived at our table my burger was room temperature and my fries were soggy

Our water glasses, cocktail glasses and coffee cups were empty for a long time, without being offered more, empty plates were left on the table for about half an hour while we just sat and waited for service.

The waitress is amazing and the rooftop is well covered. Hopefully it will be warm enough in winter.

The food is a bit inconsistent (although much better than it used to be) but its a great option for an outdoor patio on Queen West. Service is friendly and drinks are great.

It’s a bit pricey for what you get - but the area is nice, staff are great and place is cool. The food is meh

This is definitely the best Covid dining experience we have had. The patio upstairs is beautiful and we were ensconced in our own "plexi glass booth". The server was great. The food was great. We stayed on a Sunday afternoon for the 2 hours (12-2) and had a great Sunday brunch. Highly recommend.

This is the best service I have received in Toronto hands down. Trust me I have gone to so many high end restaurants. Even in Covid, the service was exceptional; I can’t even fault anything. The staff went above and beyond, extremely clean, so professional, so accommodating, willing to go above and beyond, called me to check on me. I don’t know how long this hotel/ restaurant has been in business but I know for sure they are definitely here to stay forever. Sincerely I lack words to say thank you for making my day special. Please don’t even second guess, you’ll enjoy everything. It worths more than I spent. Thank you
