   The service was excellent. The waiter was very sensitive to the rhythm of our evening. He never rushed us through any of the courses. The food was excellent, well prepared, and the flavors were very balanced.

   we went before a concert at Nat's Park. We enjoyed cocktails before and during the meal. The spicy lemonade w/ tequila was good as was my companions sweet bourbon peach tea. We share appetizers of fried green tomatoes and the corn fritters. They were the most mediocre of our meal there. She got the pulled pork and shared a taste. We both gave it 2 thumbs up! I got the catfish and grits. Also delicious. Our appetizers came out fast but our entrees took their time. Not really a problem when you're still enjoying a cocktail. Our server Ashley was delightful and onto of it in spite of the pre-concert rush they were slammed with. I'll return to try the brisket or fried chicken.

   My family and I enjoyed an early dinner. The food came out fast and was tasty. Service was top notch. We sat outside and enjoyed people watching. Definitely a place to visit again.

   Our server was excellent the food came.out fast except for my friend's daughter's children's burger. I ordered the chicken and waffles which were decent. However, the chicken was a little touch like it was pre-cooked and then reheated to be served.

   Best biscuits we've ever had! The tea-brined chicken was excellent, but had a (BBQ?) sauce on it that overpowered any tea flavor - still quite good, though. Very generous shrimp and grits, with quite a bit of heat. Even the southern greens were very good, which is not always the case in a southern cuisine restaurant.

    I'm still being super careful about COVID and I want to spend my dining out dollars wisely, and I love soul/Southern US food. This place, especially its patio and its food combines all these things.

    Friendly greeting at the door; food arrives promptly; quite tasty; my guest and I enjoyed our meal. The music and chatter was rather high. This was my first time. Would certainly come again.

    Very disappointed by the bait & switch prices of Bottomless Mimosas for Brunch. The menu on OpenTable states it’s $19 per person (which is one reason we picked here over many other amazing options in the area). Upon arrival the menu has the price at $27 per person. Other than that, everything was terrific. The food, service and atmosphere were wonderful.

    We came here for brunch for my birthday and it’s a great spot for delicious food. However, I’m not sure if they are just always short staffed but like many other reviews the wait time for our waitress to come to our table to take our orders and refresh our bottomless mimosa was so long. We would have empty glasses for about 10 minutes before we could wave someone down to get another pour. Makes it feel like paying extra for the bottomless pointless.

    Great food! Great vibe! Great ambiance! We had an amazing experience and ALL of our food was delicious!!!! The wings are extra yummy. The only problem I had was deciding on what to eat. Definitely will be returning…soon.

    The host was terrific and very friendly, and was great about moving me from an indoor table to an outdoor seat. The drinks were good, although a bit overpriced like most things these days. The problem was with the service. When I was seated inside, no one came to get my order for almost ten minutes, and then when I moved outside, the waiter brought my date a drink and then, just, never came back. We were there for almost two hours without service, drinks, food, or water. The waiter was friendly when he did show up, but yeah, we ended up getting one appetizer and one more drink at last call, which was the only time he came back. Great place and I enjoy it there but the service definitely needs to pick it up a notch.

    The music, outdoors, was very loud. Good songs but not consistent with a "Due South" theme. Catfish Po Boy was excellent with plenty of fish.

    The location was easy to find. We were seated right away. We went on a Nationals game day, so the walk to the restaurant we saw a lot of fans, but wasn't an issue when we arrived. Service was slow. We went for restaurant week, but we had to ask for the special menu. We ordered off that menu and was pleased with our selection. My fiance got the panhandler lemonade he says it was good, but you really taste the jalapeño. I got the draft peach tea. Never knew bourbon could be on draft. It was actually really good. The catfish was tasty. I didn't get a southern feel to the food since they are supposed to be representing the south, but the food was good. I wasn't a fan of the chocolate cake.

    I will definitely try again. Restaurant was uncomfortably cold, even on a hot summer day it was uncomfortable. Service was just ok. Most of the items our table of 4 ordered were great.

    Food was quite good. Had fried green tomatoes, corn bread, salmon and sweet potato fries. All excellent. Food came out promptly and on time. Our waiter did ok, but had poor understanding of the menu and was unable to make recommendations
