You really can't beat this restaurant. 7,700 ft elevation, with panoramic views all around.
The wait staff were incredibly friendly, and the food was delicious.
Over time, it seems as though this restaurant has lost its appeal, especially to locals. There used to be a reason to make the very expensive trip up the gondola for lunch or dinner with family and friends, but no longer do we feel it's worth the money or effort.
Not a huge menu, but you do know the menu before you go. We understood it was pricey, food was delicious, it was a good and different dining experience.
The best deal is to book the chair lift, grizzly bear, then the gondola ride up to Eagles Eye with lunch included $140 for 2 of us. Lunch was outstanding and included. We both had the burgers & fries with desert. Portions were huge. Best burger ever. The view was breathtaking.
When I went to book the lunch package on Kicking horse went site it did not allow me…. So I booked a lunch with the web site OpenTable , for the same day then went to the ticket office at Kicking horse and bought the Grizzly/Lunch package, worked out great , BEST value !!!
Beware of the gondala closing.
I was at the resort yesterday for an anniversary lunch. I made my reservation on the website to eat at 3:15pm. I also called and spoke to two different customer service reps to confirm the reservation and ask about gondala information to make sure there wasn't anything else I needed to know about my arrival. When I got there I paid my $96.50 to ride the gondala up to the restaurant. I just finished my app when the waiter comes over and tells me that my main app will be ready in about 10 minutes but that the gondala closes at 4pm so we needed to leave. He had to put our main apps in a box since we didn't get to eat them and we didn't get to finish our drinks. We paid over $100 to have to eat our meals in our car. I called about getting a refund on my gondala pass since the information about the gondala closing is nowhere to be found on the restaurant reservation page and was told nope, to bad.
To say this was the worst and most expensive experience we have ever encountered is an understatement.
Such a great experience. We sat on the patio and the views were amazing. The service was really good and the food even better. My Husband said he hadn’t had a burger that good in a while.
Amazing service, awesome views and great tasting food!!!
The mountain from ou table was amazing!!! Love the food!!! Will definitely come back.
It was really good, the views make it spectacular. Ceasars were spicy and delicious.
Great food with a great view. We loved every bit of our experience (ordered the charcuterie for a light lunch) and are truly amazed by the service given that the restaurant is on top of a mountain.
It was my first time dining at the Eagle's Eye Restaurant. I had a pleasant experience. My friend and I went for brunch and booked for 11:30 AM. That was a good time to have a reservation, seeing as there usually is a lunch rush. Even with the lunch rush, our food was prepared in a timely manner, and it was delicious. We went when the sun was out and there was still snow; it might've been a good idea to bring my sunglasses.
Service was great, food was amazing! Portion size was perfect.
Great visit to the eagle eye restaurant on Tuesday it was nice and quiet and the views were spectacular! We enjoyed some drinks and delicious truffle fries definitely would recommend and come again
We enjoy our time there having lunch. The prices was high for the quantity of food. two adults and a child, no drinks was $90 for just an entre each for lunch. We where still hungry after,
I’d normally say something like “a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity “ but to dine up here at 7700’ will make you want to do it again and again. Great food and service of course, but the surroundings are extraordinary, which make Eagles Eye a bucket list item for any adventurer.
Drinks felt a little weak but overall very tasty..
Great food in the most spectacular scenery you could imagine. Fine dining on top of the world!!!!!
Excellent lunch! Terrific service! Thank you.
Breathtaking views, delicious food, but most of all, amazing service. We visited on March 13th, 2021 and had Chalane help us out with the menu choices. Chalene was wonderful! She had great customer service skills, amazing personality, and overall just plain fantastic. We were very happy with our experience and hope to visit again soon!
Lovely place to watch the sun set and the stars come out. Service was excellent and unhurried. Food was delicious.
Wonderful food, great service, quiet. We were seated quickly. The food was very tasty as well as beautifully plated.
Eagle’s Eye Restaurant is a must-visit! Outstanding views of the mountains from every table in the restaurant and great service. Food is delicious.
Neil was fantastic! The view was gorgeous, and the food tasted delicious. Came here last year and had their vegetarian burger which was phenomenal.
Amazing food, drinks and views. Don’t miss it!
I was thoroughly impressed by this restaurant. I was worried that the food may not be great at 7700 feet elevation, but my worries were unfounded. The dinner was spectacular! I had the beef wellington, and my husband had the tuna steak special, and they were both fantastic. I loved the truffle roasted potatoes! The only thing that was OK but not fantastic was the turtle cheesecake. It sounded delicious, but tasted only OK (i.e. the topping on it tasted a bit stale). Thats why I gave the food 4 stars instead of 5, but overall, this place was amazing and will definitely return.
The food was okay, except for they were out of their seafood special by 6:45pm.
The drinks were very average...stingy pours for the martinis, and way too much vermouth. They were also out of olives, which seems like something a proper bar would never run out off (it’s not like they expire). The servers were doubling as bartenders.
Salads were under-dressed. The soup and escargots were good.
Beef Wellington was excellent, nice cook and good flavour, though the pastry could have been a bit crispier.
Carrots were basically raw.
The desserts were very nice.
Our biggest issue was they seemed to have turned down the heat as the evening ended, and we were freezing by the time we left.
This was our second time dining there, and while you’re obviously paying for the experience, it would be nice if they stepped up dinner a bit more.
Beautiful view. Nice après ski spot. Decent food.
Our server forgot about my dish and so I had to eat 20 mins after everyone else. And when I had asked her if my food was still coming, the waitress responded “nope” and just stared at me. So I asked if I needed to reorder it and she said “yeah it must’ve gotten lost”. She was pretty rude and never apologized once for forgetting my food and messing up. Then when she finally brings my food, she forgot the bun, so I asked if it was supposed to come with a bun and she said “yup” and just stared at me again..... it was the weirdest service I have ever received. I still tipped well as the food was great but you’d think they comp something for me? Or apologize at the least ......
When splitting two dishes, it would be helpful if the server brought extra plates to begin with.
Unparalleled view anywhere! And food and was exceptional.
Restaurant was 1/2 empty-took more than an hour to bring out a burger and a kids meal.
And then the kitchen forgot part of the order.
Ridiculous for the prices they charge.
Likely won’t go again.
Not at all her fault.
They are straw free and that makes it impossible to enjoy a Caesar, I’m all for saving the environment and think the should be disposed of properly and the restaurant at the bottom off the hill has the option to use straws so kind of a double standard..... wasn’t at all upset about it until our eco warrior waitress got mad at me for cracking a joke about it.
We ordered a 2013 wine and they gave us a 2017. When we complained they said that in fine print it says subject to change. They had just made the menu yesterday and changed it right after to a cheaper wine? Did not get what we ordered and were not helpful when we mentioned it
So good to be there! Thanks Neil and Wade for excellent service.
No fish options for lunch menu is little disappointing as my girlfriend only eats fish so she could not eat main course.
Great evening experience for a birthday!
The time slot i booked was last one and everyone is hurry to wrap up fast.
Definitely a great place to go for a special occasion. The views are phenomenal!
The entire experience was fabulous! Taking a gondola up to the restaurant is a unique and fun time. The food, drinks and service were exceptional. The beef Wellington is a must. Our server had a great sense of humour and was very attentive. We were here twice in two days. Once for lunch and then for dinner. Highly recommended!
32$ for a salty burger is nonsense!
Also they no longer offer their Ceasar selection.
