Eclipse Restaurant - Deerhurst Resort
Loved that all the main dishes were clearly labelled which were vegan and gluten free. Dessert table wasn’t labeled which would have been nice. Not many options for dessert if you were gluten free.
Service was great!
Food was delicious. A pricey buffet but lots of choices
There are not very many options. Very small area for food.
Had an amazing time celebrating our Mom’s 70th Birthday. Great food. Our waitress was great. Very friendly and kind.
WOW, another fabulous dining experience at the Eclipse. Food was awesome, although I was hoping for fresh shrimp, everything was perfect. Truly enjoyed the buffet. The experience was fitting with the outstanding total package that is the Deerhurst. THE BEST!!!!
The buffet food was good but I found it disappointing that the butter chicken had no chicken!
We were here for OFSAA Nordic Skiing. They put on a buffet catering to athletes in competition, and made it affordable but a delicious experience. We would recommend for groups and events to contact the Eclipse. They even cooked a personal gluten free stir-fry for a celiac member of our group. Excellent service.
Breakfast buffet is great and the staff is very kind.
went for valentines day and enjoyed our experience
Not much to choose as a buffet.
At $38 per person for a buffet dinner, we were disappointed. Cold/salad table was very limited. Beef option was a striploin roast that’s was tough and lacked flavour - At this price we would expect a much better cut of meat ie prime rib.
It was very noisy and we were sat in the middle of the room. I asked that we take another table, but we were told no. It took a while for the waitress to come over or to give our bill at the end of the meal. Although the food was good, it was a buffet and the food wasn't very hot.
My husband I went there for our 30 Anniversary and we were very disappointed.
Brunch on Sunday was very good. Dinner buffet on Saturday was not very good. The food was not refilled. The good that was there was cold.
The food was amazing!! I am on Weight Watchers and was nervous about the food. Buffets are generally full of carbs and high point foods. I was pleasantly surprised!! Great salad bar ... Chacouteri board....fresh veggies...and the hot food was lean proteins and delicous dishes. The ravioli with sweet potatoes was amazing. Desserts of course were amazing...and lots of fresh fruit. I can't rave enough about the food!
Our server was attentive and great with our kids.
Overall excellent experience.
While we enjoyed our stay at Deerhurst and the food for dinner and breakfast was tasty, our breakfast was no longer warm.
The service was excellent and we certainly aren’t complaining.
Even though the food was good, given the prestige of Deerhurst Resort, we expected to be a bit more ‘wowed’ with our dining experience.
It was loud at times as there was a girls hockey tournament in town with several teams staying at the resort.
Roast beef and au jus was amazing tonight and the pesto cream mussels were the best !!!
Food was excellent, lots of variety to chose from ! Desserts were amazing!
We were met for our
It was waaaay too expensive. Not enough salad choices for the cost.
Scrambled eggs or omelette only choice at 9am on 2nd high price
Buffett overpriced New Years and New Year’s Day. Miss led on reservations for ages 10, 13, 16 & 18. For New Years celebration dance & live music which I was told the room key would let you in after your dinner which was a ticket separate cost which we purchased prior to arrival. All teens were told the live music dance was for 18 and up - bouncy castle was offered and refused. They amused themselves. However we may have planned something else had we known. Bit disappointed. Happy new year to you and your staff. Thank you
Took at least 10 minutes for a server to even acknowledge us. Then we were told to go to the buffet when we were ready. Server kept used plates cleared away and water glasses filled. Food was good but not outstanding. Not really worth basically 40 dollars per person. Not recommended
Decent place for a buffet if you are staying at the resort. However I would t drive to this place. Food was just ok. Wine is high priced. Ambiance and service was good.
Staff was really friendly and the location is very nice. Recommending
We had a very wonderful dinner at Eclipse for my partner's birthday. The food was terrific, but the staff were excellent! Our server went above and beyond -- I regret that I do not recall her name, but she was very attentive and friendly, and surprised us with slices of complimentary cake (which were delicious) after asking if we were celebrating anything special. We will definitely return to the resort and the restaurant, perhaps on an annual basis! Thank you to everyone at Eclipse for making our special occasion extra special.
Our brunch was fabulous.Always enjoy our Christmas brunch, the decorations, the food ,the ambiance.love it👌🏻
4 of us visited on Nov 15-2019 and really enjoyed our meal.
Service was good, staff was friendly
I would definitely go back
The Food was amazing we truly enjoyed our supper ! Our waiter was friendly and served the drinks fast! We will definitely eat there again when we come up in the spring
A good variety of food offered but the food wasn't hot. I wasn't aware I could reserve a specific table. All tables at the window were reserved. I'm not found of sitting in the middle of a room. A little pricey.
Service is always excellent. Dinner was great. Good selection of choices and excellent wine list
I paid $53 for just myself! Buffet $37.95 and a $3 coffee plus tip. Food was cold and way over priced. Only good thing was our waitress we had was amazing! Would not recommend this buffet to anyone!!!!
We have enjoyed several meals at the eclipse restaurant and always found the staff excellent and had a good experience.
Great value for the price of a dinner buffet. Excellent service from all staff, especially Christine at dinner and Marga at breakfast on Nov 3.
The food was quite good. Not as much choice and I expected.
We stayed at Deerhurst for a weekend vacation with our two year old son. We dined at Eclipse and were blown away with the quality of the buffet and options for kids. The service was beyond and we did not feel out of place bringing a toddler to dinner here. We will be back!
Always enjoy our meals at this restaurant. The staff are always efficient and friendly.
Being a neat freak would suggest windows be cleaned of spiders and dirt so beauty view can be enjoyed.
Food and service very good, although weekend was buffet service, so some limitations in selection, and food tended to be more basic. Ambience marred by 6 months of spiders (live) and webs on the Windows. Wouldn't hurt to have them cleaned more than once a year!
The reservation was cancelled 1 hour before due to staff shortage. The restaurant closed because the staff had to work for 4 weddings. NOT THE BEST WAY TO RUN A RETAURANT.
Went to Friday evening buffet. Was disappointed with the selection provided, not all that tasty.
Marga was our waitress and she was FANTASTIC! There was a large selection of food, it was all delicious and we truly enjoyed the atmosphere!
Disappointed with the quality of the food on the dinner buffet. The BBQ chicken was dry, the beef tasteless and the vegetables listed as “root” vegetables was a combination of zucchini and peppers. The only root vegetable was onion.
I ordered a glass of Chardonnay which came to the table warm. When I sent it back the server returned with another warm glass. I was told that someone had unplugged the fridge and he offered ice. As a bartender if I served that it would be an issue, over $12 for a glass of warm wine. Sorry but not acceptable!
Totally overpriced for what you receive!
