Eclipse Restaurant - Deerhurst Resort

The food is freshly prepared from quality ingredients. We enjoyed and recommend the Boston salad and crispy duck appetizers. We also ordered the very salty spring roll platter as a replacement for the dumplings, to my grandson's dismay, is no longer available.

The main entrée was a perfectly prepared cowboy steak which the three of us could not finish. No room for dessert on this visit.

Excellent value, professionally prepared food at a reasonable price. This is our favourite restaurant in the area and will plan to return.

The experience was perfect, lovely Christmas decorations gave the room such a magical feel. Our waiters where great and the food was exceptional. The fondue for 2 should not be missed and everything was above expectation. The braised lamb was fall off the bone.

Great meal - service was good too. Only thing was the hostess was rather unpleasant when showing us to our table & sat us right next to a table with people when there was other options?
Waitress did not know how to make a Cosmo but she really tried her best!

We went for a birthday dinner and they brought out our food in good time. The eating time is 90 minutes, but they did not rush us and as the restaurant wasn't too busy, we were able to stay for longer. We had a lovely seat next to the window and it was a cozy evening with yummy food.

Between being off season, a week night and COVID, it wasn’t busy. Service was fast and polite. Food was very good , ambiance was nice and service was excellent.

My husband and I have been dining at the wonderful Eclipse Restaurant at least once a week for many months now. Our dinners or the breakfast/brunch are consistently outstanding, beautifully presented and delicious. We have never had a disappointing dish - not even once! The tenderloin fillet steak in particular is to die for!

The staff and servers are friendly, efficient and very attentive.

The ambience is perfect - fine dining but not too stuffy or pretentious.

Dining on their patio terrace with lovely views of Peninsula Lake and one of the golf courses was a joy during the glorious summer.

In fact we highly recommend all four of Deerhurst’s restaurants, although unfortunately only two of them are open at the moment due to Covid-19.

Oh and, if you are likely to eat at Deerhurst regularly like we do, it is well worth buying their Preferred Membership card which gives you 50% discount off of all your food and non-alcoholic drinks for two people, and a 25% discount for a larger group dining with a member!

The Eclipse looked so festive and pretty on Saturday evening. The Christmas Holiday decorations are lovely.

We hope you enjoy your experience there as much as we do. It’s our favourite restaurant in the area.

First night of our two night stay to celebrate our anniversary! Great good, amazing service! What more could we ask for?!!!!

My wife and I just had 3 fantastic days at the resort. The room super clean and space us, not dated and the entire staff at Deerhurst were very friendly and totally accommodating.
If we are celebrating something special it is our goto place!!!

Soup is a 10, and their daily specials are good. Chicken fingers were dry and table and chairs need replacing

This was not my first time at the Eclipse. The views are amazing while you dine. The interior is HUGE rustic, most fitting of Deerhurst. The server was very attentive. The food was definetly Deerhurst, top shelf. The shrimp were cleaned, large and very fresh. The compode was to die for. I had the Ontario trout. I'm drooling thinking about it, OUT OF THE PARK. Dining at the Eclipse completes the Deerhurst experience and should not be missed. Good Value.

We were celebrating an anniversary and our server Tristan made the evening special right from the start. The food was delicious and the service was impeccable. Thank you for making our celebration special.

Food was salty and poor quality. Not what we expect from a resort and we go often with our family.

The food was okay. The three course meal was a great deal but we didn't really get the orders that we would like to try because it was not available at that time.

We all enjoyed our meals. I would have liked to have more vegetarian options available.

The Eclipse Restaurant is an extremely beautiful restaurant with gorgeous views of the lake! They have excellent servers and staff and the food is delicious. I love that they support local wineries and in season food. I highly recommend them!

So glad I made the reservation when I did although it was a little later that I would have liked but I had to take the earliest available time which was 9:15pm. We were greeted and seated immediately upon entering the restaurant. Our waitress took our drink order while we browsed the dinner menu. Our order was taken when our drinks arrived. The caesar salad was plentiful and delicious. My hubby's entre came and while he was eating the waitress came over to say she had to take his plate because she had delivered the wrong entre ... it was the short ribs and let me tell you they were delicious. However, the rib steak was as delicious - nice to have a sampler of both :) We were very impressed with our dinner and our service. Definitely will return to the Deerhurst Resort for a future stay. Thank You.

Our table wasn't ready at 7:00 pm. There was no ambience looking at a take out window with piles of plastic food boxes. The lighting in the Eclipse is not cozy. There were no table cloths, no candle. The restaurant didn't have the raspberry cooler so I ordered a glass of wine to the tune of 17.50. I ordered the lamb medium rare - it was raw. The dessert which was a dome of some kind was totally tasteless. As a result, we did not return to the Eclipse plus we both didn't feel well after we ate there!
