Edison - Omni Grove Park Inn

This restaurant was amazing!
The Grove Park Inn has so much history and you'll never see any thing like it.
The view is spectacular at sunset and food was super delicious. We loved it and will be back!

The food and service was great. We got the cheese board, shrimp and grits, ribeye and snicker doodle dessert. The view was gorgeous.

Atmosphere was awesome. Great table with a beautiful sunset view. Waiter was awesome as well. Food quality and selections were spot on.

Excellent food and ambiance. Always a favorite when we visit Asheville.

We ate here for our anniversary for something a little more cozy since it was on a Monday. The staff went above and beyond to make our anniversary special! Our Server, Jesse, was especially fun and answered any questions we had.

We started with a salad with beets and goat cheese. We both thought the dish was well done. I had the cavatappi bolognese, which was a HUGE portion compared to some of the other entrees. Plenty leftover and was full of meat in the sauce. Very good. My husband had the venison tenderloin, which he thought was fantastic. We appreciated that the chef recommended the meat only be cooked medium-rare at most in order to really enjoy the dish. The parsnip puree and sides were also delicious.

The best part was how much the staff went into fixing up our wedding cake top (which we had brought from Colorado in order to enjoy on our first anniversary as is tradition). The crew went as far as to fix it up to look almost like the original and had it brought out to us!

The cocktails were decent, however they advertise this as a craft ale eatery, and I would agree this is more of a beer/wine location. There are better places at the resort to get an amazing cocktail if that's your thing.

Great if you want something more low key/cozy or have a big group

This was my second time dining here and it did not disappoint. We wish we had time to order some dessert, but I guess we might need to come back yet again. Thank you for a wonderful meal.

It was quiet and perfect for a date night out. The server was very responsive and made sure everything was to our liking.

Watched an amazing sunset from our window table. Dave, our waiter was fun and informative. Plan on 1.5 to 2 hour meal. Food was excellent.

Terrific dinner. Our server, Eleana, was awesome! Very attentive and helpful with the drink and food menu. Very accommodating for Gluten allergy too.

Always a great place to celebrate holidays and special events. Beautifully decorated, good is consistently delicious and the staff is eager to assist.

Had the Farm and Sparrow Grains (Plant Based Whole Foods) and it was amazing! Very flavorful and hearty - great comfort food and healthy! My husband had a burger and fries and he liked it but mine was better:). LOVE the Grove Park Inn and saw the Gingerbread House in the lobby and got some goodies from the gift shops while we were there.

Our experience at Edison was a delight. We had excellent service, a beautiful spot to eat, and wonderful, fresh, creative food. The experience at Edison is highlighted, too, since the experience at the Blue Ridge Dining Hall has gotten so stale. If GPI can offer an experience like Edison, it needs to walk down the hall and reimagine the Dining Hall as well.

Great view and good food my husband and I were not staying at the hotel but when you eat at the restaurant you are able to walk the grounds after which is beautiful but a heads up when you are just coming for the restaurant it’s $25 to park and $35 to valet. Would recommend the octopus for an appetizer it was delicious!

Christmas Holiday Lunch. Disappointed in the decorations. Expected more. Also thought the holiday parking fee $25 was high especially when paid for entrees at lunch. Have been to Edison in past and enjoyed the views. Disappointed this visit. Would not recommend a holiday visit.

The appetizers were good..but the main left alot to be desired. A bit elevated in price. The Grove park is always a great place to go for the view and experience. Will continue to go..but stick to appetizers next time.

Hi! We ate at the Edison in Dec. of 2020. Wowzers! It's such a lovely view-we sat by a window at watched the sunset over the mountains-what a treat. The front of house and wait staff were excellent. Nice, casual atmosphere-had a nice bar and some tvs too-but classy! I had the bison meatloaf(amazing), and my wife had a Kale Rueben(before you say anything, its better than a regular Rueben). Anyway....the prices were reasonable, and it was our best experience with Asheville eats, and we dine out a lot. Would return again and again. Enjoy :-)

Brought my family here for Christmas dinner! Was delightful. The food was good, service a little slow but it was busy, and Christmas Day! So nothing I wasn’t expecting

This is my 3rd year having Xmas Eve dinner at Edison. I really appreciate that the team has continued to honor my request to sit by the fire - really helps getting into the spirit of the season. Both of my guests were equally pleased with their Smashed Burgers (particularly my vegetarian friend that raved about the Impossible Burger). Thanks for making it part of my holiday traditions!

Wonderful food and staff!

Love going to the Grove Park and eating at the Edison in front of the fire or sitting at a window for a beautiful view. Food is delicious and our server was excellent.

Pub atmosphere, food was mediocre at best. Would not return.

The most amazing ambiance and service!!! HIGHLY recommend!!!!! We went at 12:30 and even in the daytime it was incredible.

The food was amazing!!!! The soup, appetizers, entrees, and dessert! Seriously, the most delicious food I have had at any restaurant in my life and I am almost 50 years old. The server was wonderful and so attentive! Love the atmosphere too. The filet nig in was way better than Ruth Chris steakhouse. We loved everything! This was the best dining experience I have ever had, I live in Asheville and will definitely eat here any chance I can!

Went for lunch. Smash burger was ordinary. Fried green tomato appetizer was better than the meal. Waitress was ordinary. Overall experience way to ordinary for a place that wants to be upper level.

Views are very good. Food was very good. I am sure the menu was limited due to Coronavirus but what we had was creative. Wasn't done up for Christmas which was a bit disappointing. Ambiance is OK in the section we sat it.

Relaxed and social environment with a menu that may resemble "bar food" but tastes much better.

Our table was dirty when were seated and while the food was good I expected it to be really really good. There are less expensive restaurants in Asheville with the same if not better quality of food.

The Edison offers a beautiful view. Good food and service.
