We had wonderful food and fantastic service! We loved it!
Need more variety on the Menu. Food just okay. Overpriced. Fireplace made it cozy. Only ate here because we stayed the night. Not many other options in the area.
This was one of the best meals we have ever had! The French onion soup was fantastic! The filet practically melted in mouth! Can’t wait to go back! We had a wonderful experience!!
Quality of food is not worth the prices. Ridiculous. Do not recommend the Chicken Saltimbocca or the Lamb Chop. Cocktails were ok. Wish we would have eaten elsewhere.
We’ve eaten here several times and never disappointed, just good food!
My wife and I were really excited for our date night, without kids, and we were not disappointed. Our server Ash was incredible and made the experience even better than the atmosphere and food! My only complaint were the two families letting their kids run around the restaurant which was really distracting and irritating.
Usually we really enjoy our visits to Eighty Eight @ The Elms so we were really looking forward to the Christmas dinner. We were seated upstairs, no decorations and a view of a small parking lot, okay, not a big deal. First course of the soup, although quite tasty, was lukewarm by the time it reached our table. The arugula salad was wonderful, but the timing between courses was a little longer than usual. Next was dinner, again, tasty but not very warm. We brought home most of the meat from our dinner to save room for dessert. We both had different desserts and neither of us was overwhelmed with that wow factor we expected. I know serving holiday meals can be a challenge, but for a top notch hotel restaurant, I guess our expectations were too high. On the plus side, regular dinners any other night have been exceptional and we will return after the holidays!
Customer service is always outstanding at the Elms and the food is very good.
Great place for Christmas dinner! Food was amazing, service was even better.
poor service. wanted to know what we wanted before we knew what choices were. she did this on every portion of meal options. she was always in a hurry. stayed on one side of the table and reached across. never walked around the table to serve. my husband paid the bill, he is 82. I realized when we got home that he gave her a 20$ tip, not realizing she had already given herself a 36$ tip. Felt like we got ripped off at a McDonalds.
Not only will you enjoy the food but the beauty of this restaurant is second to none. The fireplace will create that warm cozy atmosphere that many restaurants lack. The bustle of other tables is non existent as you enjoy this wonderful dining experience. I recommend a specialty drink from the bar or one of their delicious appetizers. Overall your experience will be unforgettable!!
Great ambiance (we went during Christmas time), food was amazing, server was personable, attentive, prompt!
I had the pork chops and my wife had the fish. It was excellent
We ate here for breakfast before going to the spa. The breakfast potatoes were good but the omelette was definitely lacking, it was dry and not flavorful. We also came up between spa treatments for a quick snack, the ceviche was honestly gross, it was basically shrimp and avocado chunks in a soup of watered down cocktail sauce. Would not come back unfortunately nor would I recommend to friends. If I had friends coming for a spa day, I would tell them to bring their own snacks to keep in the lockers to much on throughout the day and to save their money
One of the most flavorful, perfectly-prepared filets I have ever had. We had a lovely cozy table by the fire place to celebrate my birthday. Our server, Dawn, was kind and patient with us as we enjoyed the evening.
Lovely date night. Great food. Fantastic service. We will be back!
Get the French onion soup and beg that the chef doesn’t take it off the menu. Seriously everything was so delicious this is going to be our new special date night go to!
Excellent atmosphere with food and service to match. Distancing and attention to cleanliness was noticeable and welcomed.
40th bday but just two of us. Service and food were fantastic.
Very quick service and great food!! Very friendly service enjoyed our Thanksgiving dinner.
We had a very enjoyable meal. The service was A+++++
We stayed at the elms hotel for two nights. The first night we had the full dinner menus, Fall Gnocchi and Chicken salt Im oca! Deeelicuous! The next evening we are in the bar and loved it! Chicken fingers and Steak Frites! The cocktails, Truman Old Fashioned and Manhattan were excellent! I highly recommend 88 for dinner any way you want it!!
We had drinks from the bar, two appetizers and our main meals. Everything was delicious. Best meal I have had in a restaurant in years! Really amazing food.
This was a mini vacation and we had a delicious meal. Chicken saltimboca and Fall Gnocchi were fabulous! We also had the spinach artichoke dip as an appetizer which was one of the the best that I’ve eaten. Our Truman old fashioned and Manhattan were delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant and the hotel!
Major titanic vibes. Delicious food. Will be back!
Service was extremely slow, from sit down to check was 2 hours, about an hour too long. Food was good however it took over an hour for our entrees. Load group in our area also made it a bit distracting.
The food had a chance to be good because it was cooked well but it was just ridiculously salty.
Great food without even leaving the hotel on our first evening in town.
We love the ambience of this restaurant! The food and service are always excellent! It’s a little pricier than some but well worth the experience!
We had an absolute great time at Eighty Eight!! The food, ambiance and service was perfect!! We had a wonderful relaxing time!! Looking forward to coming again!!
Tim was amazing and provided impeccable service. His suggestions were the best and did not disappoint. The Angus Filet was cooked perfectly and melted in my mouth! The Fried Calamari and Lava Cake are must-haves! This place is great, we will absolutley be back!
A very nice meal. Amazing service, prime steaks, and wonderful wines! I highly recommend it for a special occasion or Getaway. Enjoy!
Stayed at the Elms with my wife for our 19 year anniversary; Great food, great service and wonderful cocktails. Probably was a bit noisier than usual because I musician was performing. Highly recommend!
Great meal and service! Couldn’t have been better.
Great service. I had the juniper brine double pork chops. About 3" thick of amazing flavor all the way through. Excellent meal Chef.
Our party was very disappointed in our experience here, and would not recommend dining here for any kind of special occasion. I noted on my OpenTable reservation and also stopped by the restaurant earlier the day of our rez to note that we were celebrating my mother and grandmother's birthdays. When we arrived, we were taken to two tables pushed together immediately next to the flapping kitchen doors. The hostess was unfriendly when we requested to be reseated. When we were taken to a new table close the fireplace, our server introduced herself to our table by saying "Are you all ready to order? The kitchen closes in 15 minutes." Our drinks arrived late (after our appetizer), and we were not asked if we wanted a second round. Our server did not ask if our meals were OK. My pasta (the mushroom carbonara) was room temperature and I had to ask for it to be microwaved. We were not offered dessert and I had to remind her server that I had noted multiple times that we were celebrating a special occasion. Overall, service was terrible, food was mediocre and ambiance was great.
We had an absolutely amazing meal. The braised lamb shank is one of the best meals I have ever had. My wife had the filet mignon and it was delicious and cooked a perfect medium rare. Our only hiccup was an extremely loud group at the bar. No real separation between the bar and the dining area. The manager did ask them to tone it down. We will definitely return.
We had reservations at 715. Showed up to the restaurant with a very angry women upset about not being able to get a table outside and another couple who didn't have reservations. We told the host we had reservations and we still waited while everyone else was helped. There were 2 open tables next to the fire place so we were floored when she sat us literally up against the staircase. Waited forever to get waters and place a drink order. Finally our waitress came to our table to inform us that the 2 appetizers we wanted were out of stock!!? So we settled with something we didn't really want but didn't really have a choice. At this time we find out our 1st round of drinks is complementary, ty and thank goodness because a huge party of people started walking into the restaurant and up the stairs that we were pressed against. At times I had people's shoes with in a foot or two of my face. It was disgusting, rude, as well as unnecessary as the tables were empty by the fireplace! Food came out it was ok, waitress was amazing, management came to our table 2 times and didn't once address the issues we were having... like not having items on the menu or the horrible seating. But the people kept going up and down, up and down those stairs all evening long! Our entire experience was less than acceptable at The Elms and its restaurant. At one time we tried to speak with a hotel manager and was told no. Asked about the restaurant and hotel staff said the restaurant was not affiliated with the hotel!! Good luck if you try it! Not really worth all of the hassle. Especially if someone or something else is more important to the staff than their guests.
Wonderful night for our wedding anniversary
