Great place to have a Spanish meal, friendly service and "safe" environment. Get your reservation in early.

We were waiting over 20 minutes and no one even came to our table. The restaurant is only at 50% capacity and still, no one saw us be seated?? We had to physically flag someone down to come over and speak with. No manager was ever sent over, nothing. It was supposed to be a night out for my husbands birthday (drinks, food, adult time) and nothing was even addressed for it, even though I marked on the reservation that it was a special night out. So disappointed.

Food was really good. This is a little gem. The guac was on point. Service was really good. Recommend it for date night, catching up with friends, or just some good Mexican food.

Fantastic gem of a restaurant in Harrisburg. The food was authentic and absolutely delicious. We love spicy food and El Sol delivered on spicy. The spicy shrimp left a true burn on my tongue and I loved it. The margaritas were the best I've ever tasted. I don't leave near Harrisburg, but when I'm near there, I will surely go back!!

Have been coming to this restaurant for last 3 years, but they always rip us off on drinks! They charged $14shot for a $28dollar tequila bottle. This is completely rip off, please make sure what drink they are serving you before you order and don’t forget to check your bill. We love supporting local businesses but not when they fool you.

Love the grilled shrimp and Fish tacos! Everything is good here, though! Some of the best salsa out there.

The food was good but a little different from what I expected. The staff was very friendly but our waiter was extremely slow even though the place was empty.

Very popular and busy restaurant; COVID hampers operations, so just be patient...the servers will get to you when they get to you. The food I received was decent; the Fajitas were not seasoned properly; a few of the shrimps and pieces of chicken were barely cooked; lacked taste. Other dish I tried was tasty (seafood with rice). Drinks was good and reasonably priced.

Best margaritas and Mexican food in the area. We always go here for our anniversary and birthdays. Five stars.

We were visiting Harrisburg and all the reviews for El Sol Mexican REataurant were positive so we gave it a try. Amazing. First, there are partitions between tables which is nice for those worried about germs. Our waiter, Cassidy, was terrific. Spot on with his suggestions. We started w a pitcher of Margaritas - delish- and a sampler. Very authentic food and such large portions for the appetizer, we had to share a dinner. We tried the volcano bowl at Cassidy’s suggestion and loved it. Wow. If we lived nearby, this would be our go to restaurant.

This place has easily become a favorite of our in Harrisburg. We dined during the COVID pandemic and found the service to be fantastic. Our server was entertaining which helped lighten up the mood since everyone was so concerned to be dining out for the first time with masks. We were afraid we wouldn’t enjoy eating out with all of the restrictions, but El Sol did a very nice job creating a new normal.

They installed plexiglass barriers between the tables and kept the front door open to create air flow.

Our food was incredible. Fresh, hot and full of flavor. The hospitality here is wonderful, and we will return again when Governor Wolf allows us to eat indoors again.

Hard to believe that Mexican food would be bland, but it was. Margaritas were so so, but Pedro our waiter was great.
Probably won't go back anytime soon.

It was very consistent in every avenue like all the other visits i have made to El Sol restaurant.

I’ve been here several times. It’s usually my go-to spot before a theatre show. We had a 12:30 reservation for brunch it was not crowded. The hostess greeted us and seated us in the rear by the kitchen. The music was deafening. There were two types of music playing. I can only guess one was in the kitchen and one in the dining room but we could barely hear ourselves. Turns out the hostess was also the bartender and our waitress. She was also nursing a broken collar bone. I have no idea why this would be the solution since we were seated in the back next to the kitchen. She did her best. We ended up heading to the bar to get our check and boxes then back to our table. Brunch was good.

Had reservation at 8pm. People wouldn’t get up from what was to be our table. Management was great and gave us free round of drinks.

We went during brunch. Service was slow. I ordered a drink and it didn’t get to me for 15 minutes.

All three people had chicken and all three of us ended up with stomach issues.

I have loved El Sol in the past, I hope this was a fluke experience.

Good Mexican food

The service was very quick and courteous. The margaritas tasted exactly as expected. I had sopas which were well prepared and excellent taste.
