ELA'S On the Water

Wonderful birthday dinner on the deck overlooking the harbor at sunset. The food was exceptional and our waiter was excellent!

We had a nice time. The view was beautiful. The food was good. Our server may have had a bad night or something but he was not attentive at all. He seemed to pay attention to his other tables but was not at all engaging or helpful with the menu, and didn’t come back much to our table. It is rare that we get a date night and would have been nice to have a Little nicer experience. All in all we had a nice time regardless.

Service was horrific starting with being told they had moved our outside reservation inside but hadn’t told us. We insisted on outdoor seating so we’re sat in a back corner. Drinks weren’t brought until one of us got up and went to the bar. Only 3 entrees were brought out by the owner and we assumed they were getting the 4th but until we flagged someone down multiple excuses were made then the owner told the server in front of us she was fired when multiple mistakes that night were his mismanagement. It was embarrassing and horrifying for server to be treated like that in our presence. Not going back!

Ela’s never disappoints. We visit Hilton Head in May and September each year and always have dinner at Ela’s. This year due to COVID, we only made it to Hilton Head the last week of December. The seared scallops and crab risotto is my absolute favorite and I had it again New Year’s Eve. Looking forward to our trip in May and another fabulous dinner at Ela’s.

New Years Eve

Went on new year’s eve and had a great time. Great atmosphere and amazing food!

The food was on point and the service from our server, David was great.

We sat indoors at a high top table and had a view of the harbor. Beautiful atmosphere and the service was impeccable!

The food was fine but way to expensive. The setting was nice and the service was good. The prices were quite surprisingly high.

We sat at an outdoor table, which was comfortable with the propane heaters nearby. However, our service was slow and inattentive. It was our second time to eat here in a couple of weeks, and the first time was excellent.

Always a special night out at Ela's. We sat outside and enjoyed a fabulous meal with a beautiful view of the marina lights.

Was a tad chilly although I requested an outside table so asked to move inside. Excellent service. Food, service, was outstanding. Not one item wasn’t delicious- will return

The food, service and location is top notch! Highly recommend for a celebratory dinner or date night (not cheap but worth it!).

A spectacular location and great staff. Our brunch was lovely and it was fun watching the waterfront activity. My crab Benedict was delicious, the house salad was fantastic with a light citrusy yet creamy dressing. His steak salad was disappointing, not as good as the house salad, but maybe that is subjective. Fantastic coconut cheesecake. All in all a good meal.

The food at Ella’s was exceptional!! The Ribeye and the Pear salad were some of the best we have ever eaten!! Sooooo good!!

We wanted to have a really nice dinner on Christmas Eve. Ela's exceeded our expectations on every level, the food and service were amazing, along with the ambiance too. We will definitely make reservations there again for special occasions!

Server was coughing and gaiter face covering kept dropping down. Seafood specials were very salty and inedible. Check include an additional entree never ordered. One would never know the same family owns The Pearl in Bluffton.

A gorgeous day to dine al fresco at ELA's On the Water! The service and cuisine were truly outstanding! Be sure to try the lobster bisque and mimosas for brunch.

What an amazing surprise! We booked this with only open table as a reference and it was the best meal of our winter break vacation. There were six of us so we sampled a nice chunk of their menu and everything was outstanding. Service was also second to none.

Best fried green tomatoes we’ve ever had. Still thinking about them...

The ambiance was amazing as was the service. It’s directly on the water. The food was a bit expensive, but delicious.

The night got off to a very rocky start! I asked for a table by a window. The hostess seated us in "outer Mongolia" on the top level in an extremely dark, drafty location with absolutely no view. After asking for another table, She reluctantly took us to a large table in the bar by a window with a beautiful view. The food was very good. The entertainment was also enjoyable. Be very specific in asking for a table!

We ate at Ela’s the last time we were in HH in November. It was so good we had to come back for our anniversary weekend. Again, The experience was awesome. The tuna ranks up with the best. A little pricey but worth it.

Can’t believe it took us so long to discover Ela’s but we are so glad we did. Definitely a new favorite!

Selected a high top table in the bar area. Nice views of the harbor. Food was delicious and excellent service. Wife and I shared a dozen raw oysters, Caesar salad and a whole crispy fried flounder with Thai chili sauce. Everything was great but the crispy flounder was exceptional.

The service, ambiance and view were excellent. The food however was terrible. My lobster tail had so much salt on it I couldn’t taste the lobster. The broccolini had so much salt on it that I couldn’t eat it. The steak was ok. I won’t be back.

We had a perfect experience. The food was very good as was the view. Our waiter did an excellent job.
