The food was fabulous. Started out at the bar with our bartender Maria who was fabulous. We enjoyed every moment.
One of the best restaurants in Rochester area. Food is always top of the line, and they consistently have new and unique specials. The bar tenders Matt and Maria are very friendly and make exceptional drinks. The wait staff are extremely professional and very good at routine stops to make sure you have everything you need (i.e., another glass of wine)!
Nice restaurant and good food. A little over priced in my opinions
Went to brunch and my Egg Benedict were under-cooked and slimy; the Hollandaise was tasteless. The waitress brought new eggs; she was terrific but seriously, if you can't poach eggs and make a decent hollandaise, the quintessential food items for brunch, then learn.
Great time at Brunch
Jacqueline was my server and she was professional, pleasant and helpful in our menu selection. I was dining with friend celebrating our friendship. I dine at Erie Grill with my husband often because we love the food and ambiance.
Jacqueline is my favorite server. I will ask for her the next time I dine at Erie Grill.
Excellent salmon burger, pretty , quiet... Nice place to have a weekend lunch and glass of wine.
Consistently well prepared meals. We'll be back!
Very attentive and accommodating to our special occasion. Service was excellent. Our meals were perfect.
Lovely atmosphere and good service but overpriced food for the quality. Most dishes were around $30 and I think this place should be listed as $$$ instead of $$.
This was our first time ever at Erie Grill and it was so great. From the service to the food everything was amazing. I ordered the Cioppino and the flavor in the sauce was out or this world! I would 100% recommend this restaurant!!
Great food and service. The ambiance is spoiled a little due to noise level. But overall very good
Bartender was excellent!
The Erie Grill is a great option for lunch in Pittsford Village. It is a more sophisticated setting then other choices in the Village. The staff is experienced and professional. I think the menu is well thought-out and the specials are great.
It’s a beautiful setting and lunchtime is a great time to get a view of the canal. The food offerings are tasty and servings are ample!
Service was great, food was awesome, but it was very noisy.
My wife and I visited for the Sunday Brunch. I am glad we made a reservation because the rooms were just about full when we arrived for the 11:15 reservation.
Our server was very professional, and the service was appropriately fast, but not rushed. The menu was varied, with combinations that I have never seen before.
Many items on the menu that I would like to try. The Ricotta and bread with jam and toasted pumpkin seeds is amazing. We will be going back again. Our server Cathy suggested a new wine, we might have to add it to our ‘fav’ list.
Our waitress Marnie was very attentive. We had a great time and plan on coming back!
I have always loved the ambiance there!
Asked for a private table... put right by kitchen/back door. Loud and freezing!
The service in the restaurant and adjoining hotel was exceptional when visiting recently with my father, on his walker. Everyone was so helpful and friendly, going out of their way to help him get around. And we always enjoy the food here.
Food was great. Kathy our server was incredible, especially acknowledging my wife and I who were celebrating an anniversary that night. Drinks were delicious.
Value is my only concern, prices are substantially more than nearby restaurants. Main dishes would be on par price wise with an upscale restaurant.
It was our 1st time dining at the Erie Grill and We celebrated 2 Birthdays and we had the best time! Food was excellent, the service was beyond great! Matt who was our server was excellent and very pleasant to chat with! The chef came out to our table checking on us! I would definitely go back again in a heartbeat!
Extremely loud noise from bar area. Charcuterie board rated fair - the pickled vegetables were rated poor. They should double the size of the pate on the board. Waitress was excellent. Cheesecake desert was rated good.
The Erie Grill is a great place for a meeting or a family gathering. However, their on-line menu is misleading - they advertise that they have gluten-free bread, but they don't.
Requested my filet to be medium well (little pink) it was alot pink and tasted like liver
Service was excellent. Noise level - truly awful, impossible to have a conversation because the noise level is so high. The crab cakes were rated poor and unacceptable by one of the people. Having had the crab cakes before when they were good, we were told that new people were working in the kitchen - so possibly that was the reason. However, the crab cakes would not be ordered again. The chicken cutlet the other person had was extremely dry and if it were not for the arugula that came with it to cut how dry it was it would not have been possible to really eat anything that dry. It should have been sent back to the kitchen. Having had some decent food here in the past, this dinner was really a disappointment for both people in our party. Hopefully the new people working in the kitchen get their act together quickly or they will lose patrons who want good food - not mediocre food.
I love the relaxed atmosphere of this restaurant with a wonderful view of the Erie Canal! I recently dined here for Sunday brunch. Our server was very attentive and friendly and all of the food was delicious. We ordered four different entrees and none disappointed. I will be dining here again!
The Erie Grill has been a favorite for years. Great food and atmosphere.
Much too much noise - this place is always VERY noisy at dinnertime. Impossible to have a good conversation because of all the noise. They have multiple options for fixing this problem, and first I would recommend hanging sound absorbing panels from the ceiling in the bar area. They could also have a better separation between the bar and the non bar eating area in the section of the restaurant that comes in from the outside entrance. The panda cotta dessert was bogus - not good, with barely the lightest hint of lemon. Their small plates are so incredibly large that they are no different than a normal dinner size plate. The food of the small plates was decent to good.
Great menu with many choices for vegetarians , appetizers and main meal . The service was very attentive and welcoming every thing we tried was delicious and very fresh we would love to come back and try other menu selections and cocktails
While the food was good, the service was extremely slow. We waited an extraordinary amount of time for our food and our waiter never checked back with us during the very long wait. The noise level was extremely high because of the huge crowd of people milling around at the bar. Made talking among the people at your table very difficult because you could not hear what they were saying.
It was our Anniversary no one made any note of this
Despite rather open /not full restaurant we were seated right next to a party of 6 (they were not terribly loud but we should have been seated on the other side of the room, behind the wall) - also the wall paper was splattered w brown spots — very distracting w stains — as we were right up next to it. Gives me pause about a revisit. the entire back part of restaurant(when coming from outside door) had only a few couples and a few at bar — we should have been seated there for better privacy/quiet atmosphere. Our waitress was lovely and attentive and I suspect she had no idea Re anniversary — but m’aitre de should have known at check in — why ask on reservation if there is no acknowledgement of this? He was not friendly or happy- at least that was my perception
Food great - not inexpensive
It seemed they may have been short staffed but that didn’t interfere with them providing excellent service one bit!
It was our daughter’s 40th birthday and they made her feel special! They brought her dessert with a lit candle, a birthday greeting in chocolate on her plate and smiles with best wishes!
The food was exceptional and it was enjoyed by our party of three. We all ordered French 75’s to start and then vodka gimblets. The French 75 were off a bit. None the less it was a perfect dining experience. The hostess/ waitress even offered to keep our daughters floral arrangement in their cooler while we were next door at the Del Monte Spa! Which was greatly appreciated!
Thank you all for a lovely time!
The mahi sandwiches were very good but the corn beef Ruben was not so good. The corn beef was somewhat tough and not of great quality. Service however was very good as was the overall ambiance.
I’d hesitate to go back. Server acted a little put out that we were there. They seated another party right next to us (lots of other options) and they were NOISY! And the seating is ridiculous—low benches and chairs that made me feel like I need a booster. The view was beautiful and food good—might stop for a drink but would think twice about dining there again
Four of us dined at the Erie Grill earlier this week. A Monday evening, actually, and we were surprised how many customers there were. The place is beautiful and appealing. Our waiter was excellent - attentive but not in our face. The food was excellent - two had swordfish, one chicken cutlets and one cioppino. The only area that wasn't perfect was the noise level but after a bit that receded. We could always carry on a conversation. The view of the canal is lovely! We all agreed we'd come again!
Food was great but my service was horrible. I left feeling very unsatisfied due to the all around poor service from our waitress.
