A great Sunday Roast with a vegan option and excellent service.

Food is always amazing at Evelyn's and never fails to disappoint. 45 mins wait to order our food only because we where forgotten but it was absolutely worth the wait. Friendly staff and the ambience is just great.

Loved every second from start till end! Got the table we wanted, menus are all online which is fab! Covid-19 procedures in place & everyone wearing a masks 👍🏽 Me and my friend both got the lamb shoulder and it was just perfect! I can’t find anything to fault. Will be seeing us again 😊

EVELYNS is by far our favourite place in town! The breakfast and pancakes are our favs and part of our Weekend routine for years now! Jason is an amazing host and a friend!

I should say I normally love it here. Have to add though I was disappointed with the vegetarian roast dinner... mainly because they swapped the gravy for a spicy Thai sauce 😂 if there’s ever a combination that doesn’t work... to their credit they replaced it with a dry version. Obvs it wasn’t that great because one of the stars of the show of a roast is lashings of gravy. They also make the cauliflower and carrots with a sort of harissa/Moroccan flavour, which just doesn’t work for me on a roast. No need to improve a perfect recipe!

The Sunday roast dinner was incredible

This time around was disappointed - we asked whether the roast was rare and was told it was very rare - it came medium. Only small serving for a Sunday lunch and minimal vegetables. Drinks are lovely but it feels like the menu has been pared back and the dishes aren't as adventurous as they used to be.

I had a lovely time at Evelyn's. The food played the staring role as it tasted amazing and was presented beautifully. The cocktails were delicious. Overall the service was good, however I was hounded at the door to put my mask on. I understand you need to wear a mask when off your seat and moving around the restaurant but I don't understand why someone chased us as we were at the door leaving.

Lovely food with some unusual things on the menu - lovely evening!

We had a delicious meal. Service was great and so was the food.

We arrived at a busy brunch time, so it was understanding that the staff were a little rushed. We did have to wait a little while to be served, but expected at this time.

I ordered the veg burger which had nice flavour but was quite dry.

Overall the lunch was quite nice, however it wasn’t very pleasant having the staff sat on the table next to us with a crate of napkins folding away, ruined the vibe a little bit.

Absolutely gutted to be met with the experience that we had after being told great things about this brunch spot.

In light of everything going on at the moment I was shocked at how poorly me and my friend were treated. Especially when we’re both overly polite people.

It’s a good job Jessica was lovely and looked after us thoroughly because some other members of staff weren’t so welcoming.

The food was great, I purchased the steak and egg and i would recommend it to anyone who is thinking of going. As great as the food was, in a weird and wonderful way what would bring me back to the cafe would be the staff.

From the moment i walked into the door to the second i left the staff were polite and helpful. They respected the covid boundaries that had to be put in place but still made it feel like i was welcome. They really did make me experience all the more better.

The ambience was perfect. Wonderful hanging plants everywhere and lovely music. Not crowded at all.

Tasty food, especially the Taiwanese chicken starter.
Lovely espresso coffee.
Would definitely go again during a weekday evening since it’s not as busy and it’s a lovely midweek treat.

Quite a small menu but choices available were decent enough. The food was beautiful and the portion sizes were good.

Everything was immaculate, however I was very disappointed to be asked to where a mask to walk 3m, from the entrance to the table, only to take it off after sitting at table - what's the point of this rule?!

Brunch at Evelyn’s is always excellent

I had booked a table for two which was fine , when we got there we were shown to our table. We waited quite a while before someone came to ask us for drinks order. I ordered the fish which was okay but too many bones. My friend ordered the steak but it was too fatty. Overall didn't enjoy the dinner. I have been before though for lunch and enjoyed.

had to wait a while to be seated despite a reservation, however i appreciate this was on a busy Saturday lunchtime. because of this our coffees while waiting, were on the house. good food, okay price, staff were brilliant.

Didn't understand why none of the staff had masks on but kitchen staff did. Would have preferred them to come to me with mask on rather than a visor.

Food was yummy and over all good but noisy music for 1030 am

My favourite restaurants are the ones with the best staff, the waiters at Evelyn's really made our night. Funny, witty, charming and a real couldn't do enough for us attitude.

The food, as always, was incredible, love the smaller menu compared to other restaurants and its always full of things I wouldn't normally order but trust the kitchen to nail perfectly.

Had an amazing night, will be back very very soon.
