Avocado Crab Cakes
topped with sweet chili sauce, and choice of two sides
red wine bordelaise, and choice of two sides
two eggs any style, bacon and choice of salad or potatoes
I've been here twice for brunch and had the French toast with blueberries and strawberries both times: I need to try other things, but they are really good!
Great place to catch a game, with awesome food and great happy hour specials
Okay experience .. Food was good but not memorable. Decent service.
I have been to Fare in past but today was just awful. Terrible service. Had to ask multiple times for things like water, ketchup, and salt and pepper.
I asked the server about preparing my potatoes well done and he blew me off and said oh they will be done enough. They were not. Nor was my breakfast prepared correctly. They forgot the ham..
I was super disappointed
The Bloody Mary did have great seasoned bacon on it
The mezze appetizer was great, and so were all entrees: crab cakes, mussels and clams, and fish. Service was excellent and server even replaced my drink when I expressed disappointment. Second visit for me and I will return.
Very good food!
Second time here. Would go again. Our choices this time were veggie pasta, avocado crab cakes, and brussels sprouts salad, and we'd recommend them all.
Brunch was delicious and portion very generous with the omelets we ordered. Thought dollar value very good. Had wonderful service and would definitely go there again. It’s conveniently located near the Penitentiary if you are touring there!
Excellent food in a modern environment. The wait staff is efficient, friendly and helpful. The food is always fresh and creatively prepared.
Had a delicious dinner. My husband tried the vegetarian linguini tonight and loved it. I always look forward to having the gf tacos. I have Celiac Disease and this is the only place I feel safe with eating this meal. Our waitress was attentive and friendly. Love this place!
Don’t bother- stay home . Horrible server
Disappointed. We got flatbreads which were soft. I would rather they had been crispy. We ordered the octopus, which was really tough. Margaritas were good and truffle fries were good.
Happy we picked Fare for our business meeting on our first trip to Philly. Food was delicious along with great customer service.
Very pleasant neighborhood gem. Looked like several regulars - filled up at 6 PM on a holiday Monday! $25 wine bottle specials. Additional page of daily food specials. Everyone enjoyed it.
Great brunch selections. Cozy setting. Excellent service. I really enjoy Fare on a Sunday morning.
I love Fare. Fresh food, intriguing combinations well prepared and professionally served. It's my go to place for brunch.
First time and we really liked it.
All of the good was outstanding, including really-unique appetizers and entrees - the sauces and seasonings were superb.
And I really respect the restaurant for not taking advantage of New Year’s Eve, keeping their regular menu instead of a price-inflated one, and making us feel welcome instead of other restaurants who’d tried to make me feel lucky-as-heck that they would accommodate me when I’d called for reservations.
I’d gone here 2-3x before - and will definitely come back!
We went for NYE and had an AMAZING time! We randomly met some friends and the staff were very accommodating in putting us close by. The food tasted great and portions were big.. we couldn’t finish! I recommend the truffle fries. Thank you for great food and amicable service!
The server Vernon was friendly and patient while we changed our table from next to the entrance and cold window to a warmer table.
The food was so creatively presented and delicious. My husband and mother had the crab cakes which melted in your mouth. I can see why they won awards. My son and I had the salmon which was superb. The flatbread was excellent. Only criticism was we were too full for dessert!!!
Really little gem of a restaurant!
The food just wasn’t that good. We had the octopus that had been hyped-up in other reviews, but it was tough and not tender at all. Maybe ours was just over cooked. The burger was good but mine was really over cooked, basically well done. The service was good and the cheap wine was a plus, but we’ll probably explore other local options.
Our server Kat was delightful and our food was incredible. Highly recommend the truffle fries, crab cakes, and farmhouse flatbread!
All of our meals we overcooked and cold! Pork chops hard and cold. Potatoes cold both the mashed and oven roasted! Scallops- 3 burnt scallops for $32?? Even the baklava was burnt!! Very disappointed! Our server was very good. She saved the night! Not worth the money we spent!
Great food . Great service.
Our review is based on a Sunday brunch on Nov. 24, 2019, party of two. We had eaten at Fare before, but not recently. The brunch experience was better than the previous. Our server was great and helpful. We ordered the "avocado toast" breakfast and the "Fare burrito," both of which were well-prepared.
Overall we were not satisfied with our experience. One entree (pork chop special) was clearly overcooked and the other (flank steak) was extremely tough. When brought to the attention of our server, she did not seem interested in our feedback at all. We won’t be going back.
Music was very very loud and it was tough to hear anyone in the restaurant. Wait staff was great and accommodating. Appetizers were yummy. Fish tacos were full flavor however fish was a little over cooked and tough. Brussel sprouts were absolutely amazing!!
Everything was great! Awesome mango mimosa. Delicious avocado toast.
We were celebrating a birthday. We sat in the patio area. Our waitress was lovely and the food was delicious as always.
Excellent food. Noise level made it hard to have a conversation
The only less-than-great aspect to our evening was the volume level in the dining room, and perhaps some noise is to be expected on a busy Friday evening. The flavors and treatment of ingredients were thoughtful, the menu balanced and unique enough that we will be returning for another visit!
Everything was delicious!! Took us right on time I would go back in a heartbeat!!!
We have dined at Fare several times. Always a pleasant experience and food is good. Try the Avocado Crab Cakes. Service has always been professional and on point. We will be back.
Wonderful brunch/ lunch. Food and service was excellent. Will definitely return!
Love it here
We had A reservation for five people but we were crowded at a table for four. Wine glasses were cloudy but when I mentioned it there was no attempt to replace them.I ordered the pork chop and was disappointed that it was way overcooked and tough. Hard to carry a conversation because it was really loud.
The food and service were great! Would definitely go back.
My husband and I went to Fare for Happy Hour. They have a great menu selection for both food and drinks. We both ordered the fish taco. I have Celiac, so I was thrilled that it was gluten free. My husband also had the beet salad. The salad was filled with beets. Loved the meal. Our server was Jordanya. She was sweet and very helpful with our selections. Great place to eat!!
Whenever we are in Philadelphia we make a point to visit Fare. Excellent, convenient location that offers great food that is reasonably priced. Highly recommend you check it out!
