Great food and service. Fresh made pasta is a plus. Good lunch spot for relaxing comfortable conversation. A bit overpriced.
Outside patio is great!
I ordered the minestrone soup and it had no taste nasty. Risotto seafood was ok. Service was poor. It was very annoying seeing a man dressed in black I don't know if he was the chef but that's how he was dressed, he will go stand and stared at people not pleasant. I would defenetely not go back and will not recomend it.
I would recommend the food, not the management. I reserved a booth for a Saturday night a week in advance. Not only did they not hold our booth but made us feel like a nuisance when we were upset about it. As a matter of fact, we were turned away and asked to come back in 15 min. We did just that and when we returned 15 min later, they were just seating another couple at the booth we requested. Management came over to us and said, “ok, we will get you a table, what’s the big deal”? We left after that. Mind you, we eat here almost every week. Not very good customer service.
We love Farfalla but this particular night was not that great. Valentine's day. Very busy but the real issue was that they kept taking "to go" orders and the in house patrons suffered for it. The food is always good but the kitchen was overloaded. We'll never go on a holiday night again.
Farfala is our neighborhood restaurant and we dine there often however this time food wasn’t as good as usual. We ordered eggplant parmigiana and it was just a slice of aldante eggplant with tomato sauce
We order osso buco and it wasn’t seasoned and had very plain taste. Sauce had a lot of flour and didn’t taste like fine restaurant food but more like cafeteria food
Beef Carpaccio was pretty good
Another excellent meal at the best Italian restaurant in the Valley! The wait staff is so friendly and the food quality and preparation are outstanding. I feel lucky they are in my neighborhood!
My wife’s pasta was flavorless and was then charged for extra sauce. So was my Daughter who enjoyed her sauce so much and when requesting additional was charged too.
At the end of our experience my wife and Daughter met the Manager who was kind enough to remove the charges however the server acted as if we had stiffed her on the tip but my wife was more than generous.
The Burratta was delicious and all three of us really enjoyed our entrees. We were greeted, seated and orders taken quickly. Even the food came out quickly. We will definitely return.
The price for a glass of wine is pricey. Why not more of a variety and sliding scale price?
We had a great time and enjoyed our food. The waiter was a little overwhelmed with all his tables, but aside from that it was a great dinner.
Our service and food was really good. We enjoyed our quiet table in the back near the restrooms.

The food is very good. Restaurant lacks organization and bus men lack manners.
Food was wrong and took forever. Wait staff takes orders and then someone else delivers food (wrong as I said).
Service was bad - our waiter seemed to rush our order, and had no patience. He didn’t pay attention to our requests, and at the end of dinner he rushed to give submit us the check without offering a desert or hot drink.
Food was just ok, nothing more, prices pretty high.
Overall experience - not going back there!

We didn't order a vast amount of food when at lunch, but of the two we ordered, neither was very good. My friend ordered a pizza, only ate two small pieces and was never asked if there was anything wrong with it. I had the entree (large) portion Caesar Salad and the bread upon which they lie it tasted sour/off. We do not plan to return there.

Superb pasta! Their gnocchi and bolognese beats several more popular or pricey Italian restaurants I've tried in the Valley. Romantic, tastefully designed interior, and pretty outdoor patio with heaters. Food came fast.
Lots of service related problems from checking in with the hostess in the very narrow area dedicated to that, creating confusion and tension with another customer, to taking order, to getting our food. While the food was good, it took an inordinate amount of time to put the order in, requiring multiple people to explain things that server was unaware of and then we mistakenly received or redirected 3 dishes meant for table next to us. Fnally, we went without our appetizers or main courses for over 45 min since order despite those next to us getting their food and having come afterwards.
We used to live in the area and loved having an excellent meal at Farfalla....had the opportunity to revisit for the first time in over a year and it was as enjoyable as ever, with excellent food and service. The 4 of us had a variety of meals: the osso bucco, pumpkin ravioli, steak and braised ribs - we all tasted each other's meals and each was excellent. Our server, Andy, was excellent with knowledgeable service, spot-on suggestions, and very friendly without any intrusiveness. We always recommend this restaurant to friends for the great food, service and ambiance, but really helpful with all the parking, too, and easy to find.
Good food, decent service and a good option for Italian. My only complaint is the ridiculous split charge. The waitress offered to split a salad for us (we were sharing an entree salad and a pizza) in the kitchen. That resulted in an additional $2.50 charge for a reason that still escapes me.
The food and service was generally very good. However, we were there on a weekday. While the restarunt was open later, towards the end of the evening, as the restaurant emptied out, I felt a bit rushed. The words were appropriate but the feeling was there. There were also a couple of up charges which should have been better explained.

We take our friends there and they are treated with extra special care, each time. The food continues to be delicious... love the pizza as an app!
We have been going to the Farfalla in Los Feliz for over 20 years and expected the same quality of food. At the Encino location the food was more expensive and not prepared as well. The portions were huge which maybe justifies the cost, but the ratios were off. Too much pasta- too little goodies and just not as good. Roasted potatoes were mushy. Staff were nice and attentive.
The hostess was rude. Threw the menus on the table.
Excellent food. Waiter was beyond expectations. Noise from bar and kitchen interfered with conversation. It’s much better to sit outside.
Great neighborhood gem. Food is always terrific and friendly service. Easy parking too.

Food was good. Sat on a patio overlooking a parking lot. Ambiance was therefore not the greatest and the strange man standing feet away in the parking lot talking to himself did not help. I guess it was our fault for asking to sit outside as the inner restaurant was loud. Food was good, not great but good. We would go to this restaurant again, but not as a first choice. Staff was good.
I've been to Farfalla a few times. Generally speaking, their food is excellent. Unfortunately, the pizza I ordered (with sausage, mushrooms and arugula) was way too salty!! It was delicious, though... We were seated back in the corner, next to the bar--not a great place to sit--it's away from the main part of the restaurant, and the air conditioning wasn't hitting where we were sitting.

My wife and I eat at Farfalla-Encino every week.
The service was very slow and the food so-so. Had been there before with no issues, but was disappointe this time.

The chicken parmigiana was wet looking because literally it was covered with bottled Ragu or the like!
By the way the wine by the glass literally had a 4x markup Googled a few to believe it!
The Owner/ Chef had the stupidity to tell me he’s from Italy and that’s the way we cook.
We’ve been to Italy dozens of times he’s a sad knockoff of a decent chef!
In fact in Italy a steak is called Bisteca and generally fatty and very thick and juicy
Just avoid this joint!
Food is always great. Melissa, our waitress, always makes it an enjoyable night out, she's the best.
