Farmer's Bottega Restaurant
We had short rib lasagna. Very meaty and delicious.
This place never disappoints. Service is always tops. The server is always accommodating. We all enjoyed our entrees. I especially enjoyed the Farmer’s omelet.
The cocktails are fabulous!!! We enjoyed our meal, too! We'll be back!
The food was excellent. Service was excellent - attentive but not pushy. Prices were a little high, but we enjoyed all the dishes we ordered. would definitely recommend this restaurant.
Great first date spot
Service was slow and scarce, which was represented in the barely warm eggs, beans and potato breakfast. Unfortunate.
We will be back! We have eaten there in the past and Ir has always been excellent.
The ambiance was warm and inviting, and the food was amazing! Pork Bell appetizer, lamb shank entree, and rack of lamb special were outstanding! Didn't give five stars overall, because the cocktail my husband ordered didn't arrive as described on the menu and the dessert menu was uninspired. Hopefully these will get corrected, as the previous comments about slow service were obvious rectified. Highly recommend!
Short rib was fantastic!
The buffalo steak tasted like chopped steak with meat glue. Our daughters were never asked what they wanted to drink. We were never asked if we wanted dessert. Surely they serve more than water and alcohol. The pricing was good. My margarita was good.
We were traveling from out of town and this place had good reviews. The couple of appetizers we had were good but the entrees were not. I ordered the duck gnocchi and it was so heavy and the sauce tasted like BBQ sauce and it was a HUGE portion. Partner had quail and he said it was okay. Service and the atmosphere were great, just not the food. But maybe we ordered the wrong things.
Beautiful restaurant , great service , tasty cocktails that had the extra bonus of supporting a charity and the food was delicious , proportioned spot on ! Overall a great evening !
The food is always delicious and imaginative. The service is always attentive.
Everything was just perfect.
We went for a birthday celebration and really enjoyed the outdoor area as it was much quieter than inside. They should do a better job of ensuring the heaters have propane as the one at our table was empty. We both had the nightly specials and both were excellent. Very nice spot and another gem in Mission Hills
We came to Farmers Bottega for our anniversary and it did not disappoint! Very intimate ambiance, despite the large group of guys who came in after us who were a bit noisy. The server suggested artichokes and short rib as excellent choices. We ended up starting with the burrata, which was excellent as it was accompanied by the artichokes that we’re the best thing I had all night! We also ordered the black and white pasta and short rib lasagna that were both very tasty. Expensive, but worth it for a special night out.
We took an out-of-town cousin to dinner. She was so impressed with the whole experience and loved that we have such a fun place to go in our neighborhood.
Went here for Memorial’s Day brunch. We were one of the first couples in the restaurant so it was quiet and peaceful. Very nice ambience, and I’ve heard the rooftop bar is wonderful as well. Server only swung by to check in twice during the whole meal, but was very quick and accommodating to our requests once they’d been made. Food was soooo good. We got the crabcake benedict and the breakfast skillet.
Superb service and food that gets better each time. The perfect quiet date nite kinda' place!
My only hesitancy from an otherwise nice experience was the noise level in the restuarant at lunch. The acoustics are very poor. With music playing, not even too loud, it was difficult to hear the person across from you.
I’ve eaten here many times and never left disappointed. This place is wonderful.
The food, service and ambiance are top notch here. We can't stop recommending this spot!
Noise level is low outside! That’s finally the spot to reserve!!
Sat outside. No heaters, no music...just the sound of the dishwasher from an open door near our table. Food was ok, but not great.
The food was excellent, the atmosphere was perfect. The only concern was the very helpful waiter trying pickup all the plates quickly. We felt rushed. However. The Quality of the dishes and service were awesome. Will definitely go back and bring our friends to experience it.
Great food, incredibly noisy. All 6 of us loved our meals chosen from the very creative menu. However it was impossible to have a conversation with our dining companions without shouting as the overall noise level was so high. Shouting causes me to cough very badly to the extent that it’s difficult to eat, so unfortunately we won’t be returning,
The food and service at this restaurant are always first rate. Fernando is a terrific server. Water is brought when requested. Coffee cups are kept full. Substitutions are easily made. Food arrives promptly and is piping hot. The menu is wide-ranging. There are so many good things to choose from. This time I chose the Chili Relleno Omelet and I wasn't disappointed. The flavors were complementary. The Bajo and Short Rib Benedicts are also not to be missed. Portions are large. I always have enough to take home for another meal.
The menu had so many interesting options it was difficult to choose. My friend is a vegetarian and there were several options for her too. The service was great. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Our waitress was very attentive, friendly, accommodating, and took down our order perfectly, even with the few special requests we made for our dishes. The ambience was warm and cozy, especially with the rustic aesthetic and glowing Edison bulbs. The food was fresh and delicious, even the salads were hearty and bursting with flavor. My girlfriend and I came to dine here for a quiet romantic evening, and this place did not disappoint!
Enjoyed a wonderful and tasty meal with my mom before her flight. Fantastic breakfast menu.
Food was fabulous. So was the server. Menu is great. Will be returning very soon.
Excellent as always. Favorite place for dinner.
Good from start to finish. personable service, good drinks and wines by the glass. we enjoyed the meatball and squash blossom appetizers, as well as the quail and shank entrees. all were beautifully presented and delicious!
Everything was perfect
Went there with friends because the menu looked so interesting. Did not disappoint! Drinks were on the little sweeter side. Staff very friendly and welcoming. One of the bathrooms was very dirty, urinal not cleaned! Better do a spot check before customers come in!
A gem hidden behind an inconspicuous glass storefront. This quaint little place reminded me of the interior of my Grandmother's home...dark wood paneling, chalked wooden signs, antique sewing machines, and aged tables and chairs...just ADORABLE. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable, attentive, and kind. We dined for brunch & the food was DELICIOUS. I booked reservations, but it was midweek & late morning, so the reservations weren't needed. However, I could see this place being packed on the weekends, so I would make reservations to be on the safe side. Lots of laughs, smiles, and yummy food...we'll definitely be back!
Brother and sister in law visiting. Had an amazing meal full of craft beer, cocktails, wine and wonderful food. One vegan and everyone enjoyed every bit of the meal. Stuffed zucchini, lamb meatballs, oxtail lasagna and the qual were the major highlights. Great atmosphere and perfect weekend date or friends spot
Always wonderful. I crave the hearts of artichoke app, which I get every time. Never disappoints. Great wine. Great service. Favorite place to go in Mission Hills, if not SD.
Five work colleagues and I gathered at Farmer's Bottega for dinner. We loved the idea that the restaurant goes to great length in its food selection to reflect a sustainability mindset. We need more restaurants like this. Great service and very accommodating! Food was excellent.
