Fat Rosie’s Taco & Tequila Bar - Frankfort

Food was great came out quickly and was fresh. I had a reservation and we had to wait 30 plus minutes while others that were walking in got seated right away. The hostess didn’t really care when I asked just told me they are working on it. Everything else was good just the long wait time.

When we arrived for our 7:45 reservation we were told it may be a few minutes. After a half hour. We accepted a small table ( reserved a tall) just to get in. Sat in the back room and treated as if we didn’t matter. Unfortunately this is our second visit where this has occurred. VERY disappointed.

To be honest, it was quite disappointing. We come here frequently, and the last few visits have been less then fair. The issues on this visit, - we had a reservation at 6:00, we arrived at 5:55, they said it would be a bit of a wait, but I had a feeling by the crowd at the door and outside, it would be longer, and it was! The staff didn’t alert us for our table for 35 mins! There is no where to wait comfortably for the table- the entry was over crowded (and non-covid friendly) the outdoor temp was very chilly at 30 deg-+wind, so it was a very uncomfortable wait... when we finally got in to be seated, they sat us in the very back corner of the fireplace outdoor room- which was the only request I gave the hostess- I asked in my reservation and when I arrived not to be seated in that cold room- they ignored my request so we then had to wait another 20 mins for a table in the main area- (as they seated others in there before us) it was super frustrating especially because we made our reservation two weeks in advance with these notations. Then the food- our carne asada tacos were not only cold but burnt & grizzly! This has never happened here!? And lastly, the family style rice is far too small to be shared between 4 people! This is a common problem here. We would love to continue to come with friends and family- but these issues need to be handled.

The only thing I did not like was that I had a 5:30p reservation and arrived on time but the rest of the party was not there yet and they would not seat us until everyone was there. Instead they had us wait outside when it was extremely cold and there was no social distancing what so ever at the door. We were not seated until 6pm and only after I went back in to ask what was going on. There were a lot of people congregating at the door and there was no organization what so ever. After we were seated everything was wonderful and service was great.

Truly enjoyed everything about this place. I will be bringing my family back.

I've dined at Fat Rosie's numerous times in the last 7 months and have always had a positive experience. The food is delicious and the service is great! Would definitely recommend.

Overall we had a good time and waitress was great!

The food was excellent! However, we had reservations for 5 of us and they sat me and my in the recently enclosed outdoor patio. It was FREEZING out there and we felt like we were watching the fun family dinner party from outside through the windows.

Awesome place! I thought they did very well with sanitizing and social distancing. The food and drinks were great too. I would definitely recommend giving them a try! Very good bang for your buck restaurant.
