Eine exzellente Weinauswahl und ein grandioser Blick auf den beleuchteten Stachus, der für München wirklich unschlagbar ist und ein echtes Metropolen-Flair versprüht. Definitiv eins meiner absoluten Lieblingsrestaurants in München.

Sehr gut zusammengestelltes Menue. Jeder Gang ein neuer Höhepunkt. Sehr gute Beschreibung der jeweiligen Weine. Weinbegleitung war mir zu viel. Nöchstes Mal bleibe ich bei max drei Weinen!

We had a wonderful and very enjoyable evening at Alois. The menu gave us the opportunity to try flavours and combinations that were new to us, while still feeling very well balanced. Coming from a Korean background, I particularly appreciated the use of kimchi. What impressed me was not simply its presence in the dish, but the understanding of fermentation behind it. It felt thoughtfully incorporated rather than used just for novelty, which I really appreciated. One of the biggest surprises for me was the veal liver. Initially I thought it might be a little too much for my taste, but it turned out to be one of the most interesting dishes of the evening, especially because of the fantastic sauce. The duck was also beautifully cooked, with an excellent texture and doneness. The German wine recommendation was another highlight. We trusted the recommendation and were very happy we did—it paired beautifully with the meal and introduced us to something new. The service throughout the evening was warm and attentive, and the additional birthday cake was a very thoughtful touch that made the occasion even more special. A memorable dinner with some genuinely interesting flavours. We left very happy and would definitely like to return and experience another menu in the future.

Auf Englisch: This is my 2nd time to this wonderful restaurant. I had completely forgotten how a fancy French restaurant isn’t your run of the mill neighbourhood experience. You have to commit three hours here to experience the gastronomical delights the chef will prepare for you. The food is very enjoyable, but also not simple. You will find many of the servings with a unique palate signature. A suggestion: don’t travel for 12 hours with jet-lag and then have this, make sure you are well rested, and take this seriously as an event.
