Yalla isn’t just a great neighborhood restaurant, but a destination for anyone in Portland to enjoy. The food is so tasty - we had the salmon collar special (which we loved as much as the regular salmon dish), the fried chicken is always awesome, and don’t pass on the cornbread. The service is warm and efficient - another lovely dining experience.

Entire experience from being sat by hostess, order taken by server, food from the kitchen was amazing. Very cool hang out spot to enjoy dinner.

Our first dinner here was outstanding so we soon returned. Unbelievably, our second dinner of different dishes surpassed the first. Eggplant entre was heavenly! Thought I was back in Greece.

Came here to celebrate our engagement and had such an amazing experience. We had reservations for 7:30pm but arrived around 7pm and were seated right away. Our server was incredibly kind and attentive, and the food came out surprisingly fast. My fiancé ordered the Lioness and Yellowtail rolls, while I got the Gyoza and California roll. Everything tasted incredible, especially the salmon on the Lioness roll — it was so smooth like butter. For the amount and quality of food we received, the price was more than worth it. To top it all off, they gave us a small trinket at the end to celebrate our special occasion, which was such a thoughtful touch. Overall, the food and experience were a 10/10. We’ll definitely be coming back the next time we’re on vacation.
