The Yackandandah Hotel has been part of this town for well over 100 years. A classic country pub with plenty of stories, cold beer, and familiar faces. It’s seen generations of locals come through its doors and plenty of travellers pass through on their way up the mountain or down the valley.After closing in late 2024, the pub has been reopened by a small group of mates, Dale Kemp, Sian Haycock, Jackson Cartwright, and Brittany Hart who’ve worked across Melbourne hospitality for years and have a soft spot for good pubs in good towns. As usual, staff were friendly, meals were great with a good portion size. We go regularly tomthe Stump and have never had an issue with meals or staff.

The food was well-cooked and well-presented. As well as traditional pub dishes, they have some very creative dishes. Service was excellent. The pub was a bit noisy for a family get-together, but the owners happily accommodated our move to another table. A pleasant way to spend a wet Sunday afternoon.
