Way back in 1975, the Sail Loft lit the fire for Steve Silverstein, who went on to open nearly 40 restaurants. Located in the quintessential seaside village of Padanaram, it was the neighborhood place where you could get a good (strong) drink, chef prepared comfort food and relax in a convivial atmosphere with familiar faces. The Sail Loft was everyone’s favorite place; it was a hangout where some came for food and others for drink.When the Sail Loft became available in 2021, Steve jumped on the opportunity to take the wheel. Steve and his wife Judy transformed the Sail Loft into an elevated neighborhood restaurant with a distinct updated boatyard feel. The spot is nautical with a chef-driven yet approachable menu, a deep selection of spirts and an intriguing wine list. As with all of Silverstein’s places, while the food, drink and design are always top-notch, it is the warm hospitality that keeps ‘em coming back.

    We had Gnocchi, Caesar salted with grilled shrimp, day-boat catch and steak tips. We also had All our meals were excellent! Onto desserts which were cannolis and chocolate mouse cake. So good! Wilton did a wonderful job serving our cocktails, meals and desserts! We will definitely return!

    Great outdoor dining, nice setting. Food was served promptly and was excellent in all respects. Definitely someplace to revisit and try other items on their extensive seafood menu.

    Our dinner last could quite possibly be the best meal we've ever eaten. Every course was unique in taste and style and the presentation of every item was off the charts. The ambience, even though it was cloudy and rainy outside was beautiful, warm and welcoming inside. We couldn't have asked for a more attentive waiter. Divan was helpful in guiding us to both food and drink options (cocktails, wine and champagne) and was always seemed to be at our table when we might need him. All staff were quick to serve, clear and clean and we were never in need of anything. A really stellar experience!
