Never been a fan of Kale because of the bitterness, but the Kale Salad I shared with my wife was outstanding. The halibut was grilled perfectly.

Excellent food and cocktails, great service, we sat outside and it was very pleasant and not loud.

I chose Coral for my birthday dinner because of the location, weekday live music and menu and it was perfection! Great ambiance, guitarist, waiter and other guests. Highly reccomend the spicy mango mezcalrita, wedge salad, ahi poke and steak frittes. Summer sunset and beach walk after made the experience complete.

I've always loved Nick's in Del Mar, and it's been one of my favorite restaurants for years. While I've had a few visits in the past where the service was just okay, this visit reminded me why I keep coming back. Everything was absolutely spot on. I ordered the Buttermilk Fried Chicken, and it couldn't have been any better. The food was prepared perfectly—not overly salty like I've experienced on some previous visits, but balanced and delicious. Every bite was exactly how it should be. Whoever was leading the kitchen on 7/7/26 deserves recognition. Thank you! The food was absolutely perfect, and it felt like some positive changes may have been made behind the scenes because the quality was outstanding. The service was equally impressive. Our server had the perfect personality—friendly, attentive, and genuinely cared about making sure we were well taken care of without being overbearing. It was exactly the kind of hospitality that enhances a great meal. I'm so glad to see things operating at this level. Everything—from the food to the service—was just right. Keep up the great work, and kudos to the GM and the entire team at Nick's Del Mar for delivering such an excellent experience. I'll definitely be back!
