Richard, Beth and Team are delighted to welcome you their charming, 18th Century Pub, The Dumb Post Inn, a picturesque village pub situated in the village of Bremhill, with good links to the stunning City of Bath.Conveniently situated between Calne and Chippenham, with beautiful views over the nearby Bowood estate, The Dumb Post is an award winning, traditional country gastropub, offering quality cask ales and exceptional home cooked food using locally sourced ingredients.Family owned since 2009, but only managed by the family since 2019, Richard stepped away from his career as an aircraft engineer, to protect this much loved pub and to ensure that The Dumb Post could run to its potential.Richard and Beth both grew up in Bremhill and are driven by a passion for the area as well as this historic, family owned pub. They take enormous pride in offering the best local produce available, including the family farm for their supply of lamb and beef.

Both the historic towns of Tetbury and Malmesbury are within a stone’s throw of us.A three-mile radius encompasses Westonbirt Arboretum and Westonbirt School, Highgrove Gardens and the Beaufort Polo Club. Badminton Horse Trials is just 20 minutes drive from us and Cheltenham Races only 34 miles away. We are 24 miles from the Roman spa town of Bath and from the city of Bristol, with their many attractions. Apart from these attractions, we are in the heart of an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) with many wonderful walks direct from our front door. We welcome well-behaved dogs.Our chef’s mission is to serve delicious pub food at reasonable prices. Our ingredients are fresh and largely sourced from local suppliers. Our menu changes with the seasons and availability of quality produce.
