The atmosphere, food and service are always wonderful.

The Veranda is a great favorite of ours. We live just 5 minutes away, but it's worth a much longer drive. At the Rancho Bernardo Inn, the Veranda has both indoor and outdoor seating. We always choose outdoor, both to enjoy the fresh and sunshine and the lovely view, and because our well-behaved Labrador, Teddy, can join us. The food and service are excellent, and the menu prices are very reasonable. The cocktail and wine list is ample, and there is a selection of beers as well. We have dined here often enough, in the 18 months since moving here from Pennsylvania, that the staff recognize and welcome Teddy - and my wife and me, too.

We had Jessica as our server. She was great! Attentive and responsive. The entire staff were soooo polite! I had the strawberry rhubarb French toast and it was delightful. My husband had the American breakfast with scrambled eggs and it was delicious. The bacon side was amazing and just ask for extra crispy if you like it that way. It was perfect! I would so eat here again.

Our waiter ,Eric was excellent. My parents really enjoyed everything! Thank you for an excellent experience… we will be back!

Celebrated my wife’s 52nd birthday at Avant and it was a perfect evening. Paul, our server, was attentive and knew the menu thoroughly, and Ann at the host stand was very accommodating. The Maine Diver Scallops, NY Strip, and Prime Angus Tomahawk were all cooked to perfection, and my wife, a retired chef, agreed. The signature cocktails were excellent, and the Wake Me Up Doughnut was the perfect finish. Highly recommend!
