Peppercorn’s Grill is owned and operated by brothers Sal and Dino Cialfi, who brought their Roman training and family recipes to Hartford when they purchased the restaurant in 1989. In 1994 they opened sister restaurant Piccolo Arancio, which they ran until 2023; the original Piccolo Arancio near Rome’s Trevi Fountain is still operated by their cousins.At Peppercorn’s, the Cialfis blend classic Italian techniques with modern creativity, earning a Wine Spectator Award of Excellence for 10 years. The warm dining room, attentive staff, and lively Italian hospitality make guests feel as if they’ve stepped into a trattoria in Rome, welcomed like famiglia. Guests return again and again for Ossobuco, signature Orange Ravioli, Grilled Veal Chop, famous Zucchini Blossoms, and cocktails like the Pear Martini.
