Margaux, aside from being one of our favorite wine appellations from Bordeaux, means “pearl” in French. Maison Margaux is the pearl we found in our community during one of the most turbulent times our world has faced. This multi-level space has been masterfully designed. As you move through each room, you are meant to feel a unique sense of comfort and hospitality — as if you are attending an event in a family member’s home (a “Maison”, in French).Each area is uniquely curated to reflect specific aspects of the Parisian lifestyle; a French brasserie, an haute couture event center, and a sultry underground bar emulating the Paris catacombs. The outdoor terrace beautifully integrates into the North Loop identity, while the historic qualities of the entire building have been preserved with the finest of care. It is Chef Ann’s goal to have a little something for everyone in the neighborhood, with Khâluna and The Shop at Khâluna acting as a bridge between Minneapolis and the regions of Southeast Asia. Chef Ann believes in fair trade, and it is her goal fill her shop with curated goods from her home country of Laos, highlighting and supporting artisans by procuring market goods at a fair, viable wage-supporting price. In addition to housing hand-crafted goods, The Shop will also be used as a Private Dining Space and features a state-of-the-art cooking studio in which Chef Ann will lead cooking classes and demonstrations. Chef Ann is excited to embark upon this journey and hopes to have the opportunity to take you along with her.

    Fantastic food with even better service! Kimia made excellent recommendations both for dishes and wine. She is a knowledgeable server and excellent sommelier! She checked in on us regularly and even filleted the whole dover sole with expertise. As Kimia recommended, I also want to urge diners to try their Scallop St.-Jacques together with the Cauliflower Souffle. It is a fantastic combination, whether eaten together in one bite, or the decadent souffle first and then the scallop with a punchy, acidic sauce, which cuts through the richness of the souffle's cream and gruyere.

    The pizza here is phenomenal. Our table enjoyed the Verde, the Funghi, and a classic pepperoni. All delicious. The crust is fired perfectly, crispy and chewy. Service was exceptional. Highly recommend.

    From the moment we entered the restaurant, we were treated like special guests. The service was outstanding. The peach and prosciutto flatbread is one of my favorite lunches. I've ordered it several times and it never disappoints. My son had the sesame chicken bowl and ate every bite. We were thanked several times on our way out the door. We will definitely return here for lunch in the near future.
