Fire & Oak - Montvale

I was having a good experience at Fire not sure if I will go back.

Had some great sushi and split a bunch of appetizers. Not to crowded

Amazing as always! Great food, great drinks and the service is top notch. The food is always consistently good. Love Fire & Oak!

Just okay. Not worth the money. The filet mignon was terrific but the sides were ordinary at best.

Without fail, the food and atmosphere are always a plus every time I visit with her for lunch or dinner. This time was no disappointment and also appreciated the wonderful service from our waitress Merissa.

Very disappointed in service . Started with disorganized wait to be seated; there was no priority given to diners waited to be seated vs those waiting for take out orders.
Waiter didn't have a clue what the bar stock liquor was and didn't even bother to check when we asked. We received drinks at different times; leaving one to sit with a cocktail while date still waiting.
Food was just ok. The beet salad was ordinary. I ordered the hangar steak. While it could have been good, except for the overly spicy, mis-seasoned steak. I've been here several times. This was a miss.

Would rather have ordered room service from the Marriot next store

Food and service was excellent. However some of the menu items that interested me in the restaurant were no longer on the menu. I would imagine the menu had to be scaled back to to covid restrictions. I will have to try again when things are back to normal. But otherwise a great experience.

Sushi is excellent and lobster mac and cheese was great.
Bartender made some excellent drinks and chipotle rim was nice and spicy.
Only issue was gnats were inside and all around our table. We were inside and could have been fruit flies- regardless nobody wants bugs around during dinner.
Service was good also.
Did not stay for dessert.

Fire and Oak was amazing! My boyfriend and I try a new restaurant every weekend and this one blew us away. I live an hour away and I can say it was 100% worth the drive. The food was amazing, the restaurant itself was beautiful and the staff was quick and kind. If you’re thinking about going here do it!!!!

Bar normally busy — was instead socially distanced. Looks like they changed menu to reflect higher margins needed to overcome this & survive in Covidland. Wine normally $9/$12 a glass now $17$20. Coconut shrimp tasted off ( old & had no coconut 😳) Entrees also priced higher than normal but quality good . Want to support local but hard when it’s all on their terms—probably would wait until post quarantine go again .

Arrived a little early for my reservation, but was seated right away. Our server was great with recommendations for the menu. Everything we ordered was delicious! Everything came out with perfect timing also! Will definitely be back, we just moved to the area & will definitely spread the word!

Anniversary dinner

I have eaten at Fire and Oak at least a half a dozen times, and they are six for six as far as delicious meals. The blackened swordfish was wonderful, and I just finished my wife’s delicious cheeseburger. We’ve sat in the bar area, the front, the back, and outside, and the restaurant is a pleasure.

The food is great, but a little pricey. I was surprised the tables seemed a little close together and were not as clean as I would have liked.

Always a pleasure going here for dinner when I visit New Jersey . I found this jewel during the summer and it’s been one of me and my fiancé’s favorite spots to dine ever since .

Unfortunately during Covid-19 there are limitations on everyone.
Outside dining in a tented area was okay under our circumstances.
Food was good and service was a little disappointing, as he seemed new or just inadequate..
Have been here before Covid and was pleased with everything.

This is a great restaurant for dates or even a meal with a close friend. The food was by far exquisit and tasty. The wait staff was courteous, willing to help and always circled back to ensure everything met our needs. I decided to give only 4-Stars because I was a bit turned off by the hosts unpleasant and unfriendly attitude when we arrived. We almost felt as if we were making her go out of her way to seat us; but, the rest of the staff did make up for that small incident.

Great setting, service was fantastic. Decent menu, but would have preferred more options.

Was here on Saturday night with another couple. Food was below average. I've been here a bunch of times before and food was much better. Coconut shrimp avocado roll was dry. BBQ chicken lollipops cold, dip was good and fish was ok. When we got the bill few of the items were charged twice and some we never even ordered. We told the waiter and items were taken off. Than we gave our CC to pay and we were charged more than what the bill was. Showed it to the waiter...he apologized and said MANAGER added something back to the bill without notifying us. WOW Great customer service!! Even waiter was shocked!

No outdoor heaters so we were way too cold. They should have told us that when they confirmed our reservation

Food was the delicious. We had the lobster Mac and cheese for appetizer, sea bass as the entrees, and Oreo cheesecake. Beautiful place and great service. Only thing I didn’t like was on occasion there some type of alarm going off. We would return to this place.

We were seated right on time for our reservation. The social distancing practice was perfect. The service and the food were amazing. this is our second visit to this location and we were definitely pleased.

The staff was very attentive and lovely.

Doe to the pandemic, we ate out in the tent near an open side. Would prefer if they didn't have tje other side closed

Nice indoor and outdoor atmosphere. I was here for dinner, ordered a martini, they were out of Tito's on a Friday night. The martini was ok. Ordered a spicy salmon roll as an appetizer, was nothing special. Also got the Chicago-style pizza which was also just ok. Nice atmosphere. Good service.

Food was very good but the service was terrible. Had to go to the front desk to get out check and pay the bill.

One of our regular go-to's. The food is great and consistant and the service is great. They really know how to make great cocktails.

Great food and services has always been the ongoing way with this restaurant.
