Also was perturbed by decision to cluster the patrons in a corner near eachother, leaving areas of the restaurant wide open. Thought it was a strange decision given (presumably) precautionary inclination of most establishments.

This is my favorite restaurant in Birmingham, Michigan, and the country - the food is always fabulous and new and the atmosphere is perfect - but the staff makes this place - They are all very very good, but Taylor and Katrina are truly exceptional!!!
I’ve lived in the neighborhood for about a year, but just made it to Forest for the first time and I am so glad I did. The menu was well thought, service was attentive, and most importantly the food was fantastic. The atmosphere is also nice, especially with the open air windows, and it would be enjoyable even to sit at the bar with a glass of wine. I can’t believe I didn’t find it sooner, but I will definitely be back.
Service and staff were very friendly and the interior was beautifully decorated and cozy. The food however did not match the rest of the atmosphere. Our Caesar sAlaska has almost no dressing and both of dinners were really bland.
The appetizer was imaginative and the man courses (bronzini, duck and salmon) were excellent
Dessert (baked Alaska) with a cousin of Ready Whip was an affront to fine dining! Really downgraded all that came before.
We were celebrating a special occasion (birthday) and didn’t experience any special service, not even a “happy birthday”. I eventually ordered a dessert and asked for a candle myself. We had the farm egg and scallops for appetizers - both were good but the scallops were extra good! My husband had the cocoa papardelle and I had the braised short rib pasta. The pasta was quite hearty and my husband enjoyed it. My braised short rib fell a bit short in the flavors - it felt a bit heavy handed. We had the baked Alaska for dessert and it was alright.
Sat outside. Food was excellent especially the short rib pasta. Server was a bit overly busy, but still did a good job. Will definitely return.

Exceptional service, we did not have to wait to order drinks, apps, entrees, or dessert. Food was delicious, we finished everything on our plates - first time ever. We will be back.
Wait staff are key to a great experience in any eatery. Olivia was knowledgable and provided our group with recommendations for a great dining experience. She also let us know what on the menu she had tried and how the particular item fared in her opinion. Additionally, at our request the hostess moved us inside since the outside area was getting to breezy for some of us. Our group felt very comfortable eating inside since Forest practices safe distancing and the staff all wear masks, We'll be back soon!

My wife and I celebrated our 2 year wedding anniversary at Forest Grill. It was an amazing dinner. The branzino and lobster ratatouille were outstanding as was the truffle pasta that was on special. The drink selection is fantastic. We had an amazing time and the service was top notch. Our anniversary was very special due to the great experience we had. I cannot recommend this restaurant more, top notch all the way around!

Amazing food as usual ! We had the farm egg and black rice, two of our favorite appetizers. Nobody can compete with this black rice. Also tried the New York strip and caesars salad which were phenomenal.
This was an exceptional dining experience. The wait staff was very conscience of our requests and gave details of unknown menu items and specials. The Farm Egg appetizer was a delectable. The duck breast my wife and I had for our 37th anniversary was impeccable. The Baked Alaska was fantastic. Thank you for a wonderful evening. Also the carry out for our son, Lobster and Ratatouille was thoroughly enjoyed.

We enjoyed our meal overall. A little surprised at the extremely small portions of a couple of the dishes. Three in our party ordered pasta - two ordered the half orders of bolognese, which was larger than the full size order of ravioli. Bolognese was easily the best dish of the evening.
