We visit the area yearly and Fortify is always on our list. The gluten free options is what brought us there the first time when they first opened but their fabulous food is why we keep coming back for more. We look forward to our next visit!

Love this place! Food and service is exceptional.

As always, from the moment we walk into the door everything is flawless. A friendly greeting, immediately taken to our table. Servers do an excellent job of taking care of us and the food is the best. Rivals the food at upscale Atlanta restaurants. We make a two hour roundtrip to eat at Fortify and always think we would drive further if needed to get food and service at this quality and their prices are very reasonable.

Quantity of food per course was not what was expected. The volume could have been increased for the primary entree, appetizer, and dessert. The price charged was too high for the food, atmosphere, and setting. Too much of a social event for attendees that wanted to socialize and hold up the serving process for others. Need a live music backgound option.

Been to Fortify every NYE since it opened, and this was by far the most outstanding. Consider us luck to even snag a reservation. Servers were gracious and helpful. Every course was a triumph, especially the fish, and the the veggie tart was a true masterpiece. Folks, Jack Jamie have notched their restaurant up into the highest level of fine dining--if it wasn't already. Congratulations to them and the entire staff on a truly magnificent effort, worthy of highest honors.

Wonderful meal, atmosphere and service. Try the warm carrot cake (with a scoop of vanilla ice cream)!

House made Gouda fritters, duck fat butter, roaster chicken, house made breads all perfect as were the scallops, tender and delouse. Man O Man!!!

Tiffany was great & the food fantastic. This is our first dinner there, though we have been for lunch a few times. We live in Sapphire, NC, but it's well worth the trip. Highly recommended.

Fortify is consistently very good in all aspects. Great service, delicious food and a nice setting. For this meal, we sat in the back dining room and it was perfect for our group of 4. Fortify is my go to place for delicious food and dessert in a warm environment.

Great "hidden gem" in the mountains. We were deciding on restaurants to choose from within an hour drive of Carnesville, GA. After mucho discussion our group decided on Fortify. And soo glad that we did.
We had the gouda fritters and fried brussel sprout appetizers. Each of our four had a different entree and all were very good. Smoked Ribeye, Filet, Shrimp and grits, and Fish special--Monk fish. Also had home-made ice cream and the peppermint Creme Brule.
Would go back in a heart beat. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for nice restaurant to go to.

Wow! This is one of the best dining experiences we have had in ages. We are from Atl and Fortify surpasses any of the trendy and pricier places we have frequented. The menu is unique and our meal was perfection. We will definitely be back!

This was our first visit, we live about 20 mikes north up the mountains. We’ve eaten at their sister restaurant Fortify Pi several times and love it! so we decided to give them a try. Was such a nice change to go to a more e elegant dinning we haven’t done that in a long time. Everyone was so accommodating and friendly. Joseph our server was outstanding and very professional. Food was amazing! Will definitely be back. Glad we made reservations as their seating capacity is low due to covid. I would definitely recommend this for a special occasion or if you want a change from the everyday norm .

The enter experience was absolute perfection. From the impeccable service provided by Joseph P to all of individual dinner items. Add the cocktails, wine and after dinners drinks and nothing could have made the experience more memorable.
I will be returningg to celebrate my Birthday on Jan. 3rd before they close for two weeks. I've already made the reservation.

This holiday season, due to Covid, is surely different from all others...but what has stayed the same is Fortify's consistency of cuisine, ambience and service. We are looking forward to our next "excellent encounter" with Jack, Jamie and the Team.

Our dishes were both creative and delicious. Cooked as requested and portion perfect. A great find in a nice mountain town.

My wife and I ate here for her birthday and it did not disappoint. From the appetizer to the entree to the dessert it was one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a while. We will definitely be coming back to dine again.

Always delicious! My wife had halibut and it was perfectly prepared, fresh and delicious. I opted for the 'feel good' entree of fried shrimp, hush puppies and cole slaw. The shrimp were just as fresh as if I was eating at a road side restaurant off of Highway 98 in the panhandle of Florida!!!

Giving Thanks...for Fortify's Cuisine...and Courage!

All would agree that the Year 2020 - Covid, Masks, Protocols, Social Distancing - does not elicit sentiments of gratitude. On the flip side we (and I know we are joined by many others), on the cusp of Thanksgiving, are extremely thank-full for Fortify's determination to endure as an oasis of creative cuisine amidst the pandemic desert. (Long, carrying on sentence, yes...wordiness earned by Jack, Jamie and the Team.)

Our choices this interlude included a superlative sea bass and chop grilled and seasoned to pork-fection. Consistency, defined! Add in the usual dose of hospitality embodied by Jeremy, Joey, Bailey and the rest of the staff, and you end up with an experience that puts the Curse of Covid a million miles away.

As we all hit the homestretch of a forgettable 2020, we are grateful for a bright spot called Fortify. May all that Fortify has done to meet and overcome this year's challenges be rewarded with a more stable 2021. Fingers, forks and knives crossed!

Everything about this restaurant was on point. The service, the food, and the cocktails were all fabulous. We ordered the scallops and the nightly special of fresh Halibut. Both were wonderful. Highly recommend visiting if in Clayton and looking for an upscale meal.
